So because Pop decides to do what he always does, and not cry about calls after a game, doesn't mean it wasn't a foul. It was a foul, and a rather obvious one at that. If the refs don't want to call it, that's their mistake.

Obviously, the Spurs didn't lose the game on that single play, but don't tell me that 2-3 free throws in that situation wouldn't have made a of a difference. Anyway, the Spurs didn't come out to play with the required intensity, and that no-call b.s. just adds to the sting.

Every time the Lakers are attempting a 3 in the game 5 the Spurs need to jump on the player...

    It's not a foul.

They have to sell it for it to be a foul.

Just jump on the guy when they are shooting...that's all you gotta do.

All of this doesn't matter. If this happened to the Lakers the responses here would be the same.

Maybe it should've been a noncall but if that contact was made against Kobe I guarantee he would have been on the line.
How do you know that? Kobe attacked quite a few times and went to the freethrow line 0 times tonight.

You Lakers fans can quit saying it wasn't a foul, because it was. Fortunately, that's not why your team won. They outplayed the Spurs. There's no harm in admitting it was a foul.

Ahh come on this thread is bogus.

I could honestly say that this whole series the refs have been really relaxed on calling fouls for both sides.

An if they are calling fouls sometimes really ticky tack for Both sides again.

Even Coach Popp said if he was a ref he wouldn't have called a foul either.

In all fairness , the Spurs had numerous amount of times to win this game.

Missed threes by Horry,Barry, and MANU which couldof took the momentum as the lead.

Yes we Lakers are looking pretty good going home up 3-1 but in these NBA playoffs (especially after that little run the SPurs put up after the two missed Gasol free throws), I think it is safe to say nothing is a for sure thing

Derek Fishers shot hit the rim.

Should have been a new 24 clock and 2 FTs. Spurs NEVER should have been in that position in the first place.

    Period.
Gasol had Horrys arm completely pinned. Only reason why Horry did not get a hand on the rebound. Foul on Gasol all the way.
    Either way its Spurs ball.

Brent Barry just said that that is never gonna be called. Besides Fisher's shot hit the rim, so the last two calls evened out. You guys are pathetic. So there are only conspiracies when the Spurs don't win it? The refs kept the Spurs in the game. Fisher and Odom were in foul trouble all night. Kobe has shot 6 FT's in four games.

Boom "A proper no call" "If I was an official I wouldn't have called that foul." Pop just said that.

Man up Spurs fans. The Lakers (without Bynum) are a better team.

Even if Fisher's shot did hit the rim, its a reasonable mistake for the refs to make. That's just a horrid no-call at the end of the game.
Oh COOL!!! Now we get to justify what is right and what is wrong!!! YAY!!!

Barry ed up, as a spurs fan you should know you gotta sell a call. spurs were doing it all game. Barry should have never put the ball on the floor, it was a 2 shot foul, and Fisher's shot hit the rim. Lots of finger pointing to go around.
Couple things here, 1, With out Barry, you are not in the position to tie or win in the end. And 2, 'sell' the Foul...your such a ing spurs fan!

    It was a foul, period.

    Notice Pop's words carefully.

    "If I was the official."

If Pop was the official, he would be Joey Crawford. He Pop were Joey Crawford, he wouldn't call that a foul either because he'd be a dirty official with a vendetta against the Spurs.

    Read between the lines.

A basketball rationalization I wish would get flushed in the toilet is "He didn't sell the foul". Either a player is fouled or he isn't. There aren't degrees of fouling.

YES YES YES YES it was a foul and a no call. It was not shooting because Barry dribbled after the contact. If they dont blow the call when fish's ball hit the rim, you never even get the chance.

Your own player, Barry just said "THATS NOT GOING TO GET CALLED"

Stop your whining and get ready for game 5 or go become Suns whiners and conspiricy theorists.
That's not how he felt right after a bag landed on him. They had to have discussed how to handle the media in the locker room.

Sure it helps, but it shouldn't be necessary, especially on a play like that. I hate the pump fake jump into the contact move, and that's the only thing I don't like about Ginobili's game.
It was a foul. 2 shot foul. But Fisher's shot hit the rim so it's a non story to me.

If the league wanted a big time final, why would they allow the Spurs to win 4 championships? Their ratings killers.
They tried to stop us, believe me. KG going to boston and Pao going to LA were set up by Stern and the NBA so that they'd have an easier time fixing the outcome.

I guess the refs were sick of bailing the spurs out all night.
are you dumb. if this is true why stop on a blatant foul in a series defining 2 second possession

Not really. Not the first and definitely won't be the last game decided in this fashion.

The officiating sucked throughout the entire game and it's a disservice to both teams.
Just wait until you guys get stolen in similar fashion, then come back and let me know how you feel.
