Timmy wasn't going to do it all by himself. Pop kept calling a ty offense as well. Forced it through Timmy, etc.
You saw the game - was there another viable option? Manu can't play his game, he's hurt. They've got Tony Parker under house arrest. Tim's the only person we've got right now capable of creating anything.

More motion maybe earlier on in the game would have put us over the hump. We only had our comeback in the 4th, when they started to mix it up and help Timmy out.

Again, if Manu is hurt, then don't play. If he plays, don't make being hurt an excuse for incompetence.

That's not on Pop - it's on the players.

For years, Tim would pass it out of the post and 2 or 3 passes later we'd get an open shooter out of it. Lately, the ball comes out of the post and it stops. No more passes. The execution just hasn't been as sharp.

Timmie won't shoot as well from the line as well as he did in Game 5. Book it.

Kobe is playing with a broken pinkie that has his medical staff suggesting/demanding surgery. Nobody blamed it on that when the Lakers lost Game 3. At least not from this Laker fan.

True, but it's kind of predictable, Phil knows how to counter Timmy passing out of a double team.

Phil Jackson knows how to make due with his crap. I'm sure our squad has a certain level that they've yet to play up to, in terms of shooters.

Anyway, there were a lot of controllable mistakes from all our players that made Timmy work even harder to carry us...

Simply put, Sasha has Manu's number in this series.
Is everyone from LA this dumb? Jay Leno has a never ending supply of really, really ignorant people to ask questions when he goes out on the streets of LaLaLand. I am still waiting to see if anyone from California even has an IQ. Sheeeeeesh, start watching the game and have yo' momma read you Basketball For Dummies!!! Put a healthy Sasha up against a healthy Manu and Sasha would be eating dirt and dust. Your silly statement would be like a Spurs fan saying Bowen has Kobe's number. Get a life, kid!!!

Pop was forced to play him almost the entire game, otherwise we would've lost by 20...

That's not Pop's fault... that's on the guys who were on the court when Tim was taking a breather.

Tim showed up huge, and so did Brent, and Tony for moments... mad props for them.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Your analysis comes with emotionally loaded terms like "blame" and "excuses". I look for "reasons".

For example, it's not an "excuse" to say that Karl Malone's knee injury was a blow to the Lakers' pursuit of the 2004 championship. Instead, I think losing him may have been the most significant "reason" they didn't win.

But you and others like you adopt the language of the athlete as though you are involved somehow. Well, apart from yelling things at opposing FTs at Staples, you have nothing at all to do with the final score. Therefore, it's better to look for "factors" and "reasons" behind the outcomes of games. Otherwise, when you "blame" a particular player for this or that, it sounds like you're putting yourself on the roster and making it clear that you had nothing to do with the loss. (In a sense, you're right)

Tim literally laid it all on the floor.

He gets obvious partial to very small amount of blame for the loss, but still, 45 minutes, after all the years hes played, its just hard to fault the guy for running out of gas.
Do you know what "literally" means?

Are you saying he physically laid down on the floor? Otherwise, he didn't literally lay it all out on the floor. It's a figurative saying.
