I just want to see this team play like we know they can.
I can go wayyy lower.
Maybe, if the Silver & Black play their best possible game and the Lakers don't show up, then they might win 1 more game. That's a big maybe, because the only way we beat these guys is if we play our very best.
But they're not winning 3 against Kobe & co. Not happening. So before you bet a bunch of $$$ on the Spurs to win Thursday ... DON'T! The Spurs have been defeated and Thursday will be a mere formality. We are weaker at every position except PF (and that one's close) than the Lakers, and we have to beat them twice in L.A. Not happening. The Lakers may as well start printing tickets to the Finals, not that I'll be watching.
I just want to see this team play like we know they can.
I seem to remember that every time we've won a championship, it seemed we were dead in the water at some point, yet the Spurs pulled it out. That's what makes each one so memorable. Spurs have a GREAT opportunity to do something really spectacular! I'm looking forward to the next game!
My personal opinion is that it's over. Spurs could come back if they would be consistent and just play better. But from what I have seen this playoffs, these Spurs need some days off to rest.
They are mentally distraught right now more than I have ever seen.. the guys look and acted beat. Especially Manu.
I think we'll lose 4-2. But I still hope and believe we can do it. But as a logical human being I don't see it happening.
Any Spurs fans in that boat with me, you are not less of a fan. Just ignore the assholes.
Well, a win on the road would be nice. Let's make it respectable, right?
And, who knows? maybe they fight back and force a Game 7...
All it takes is one game, and fans will start singing a different tune.
This does feel a lot different than the '06 Mavs series. The Spurs had to play perfect to beat those Mavs, as evidenced by Manu's sloppy foul at the end of Game 7 being the deal breaker. This is virtually the same Lakers team that coughed up a 3-1 lead to the '06 Suns. . . let's check out that lineup. Steve Nash, Boris Diaw, Raja Bell, Tim Thomas, Eddie House, Shawn Marion, Leandro Barbosa. Not exactly the dream team, and far from intimidating. Granted those Suns had two home games, but if the Spurs win Game 5 I'm convinced that they won't drop another game at home.
It will be the toughest thing the Spurs have ever done, but they can do it. But if Michael Finley hasn't lost his starting job to Barry already and is reduced to '08 Suns series Barry-esque minutes, that will hurt our chances significantly.
The great thing is that it's STILL a 7 game series, and I still believe.
Forget tonight... it's over, but history is going to be even sweeter to make because of it.
Mariah Carey? JT you're gay.
When nothing seems to help, I go look at a stonecutter hammering away at his rock perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred and first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not that blow that did it, but all that had gone before.

I was wondering what that said.
Because I don't listen to 50 Cent or Jay Z?![]()
I suppose that's a positive way to look at it....I guess.
Somebody said something about gay?

You hate winners man, you bitter man. You like ugly, gangly, pouty puppy dog eyes.
"Our greatest glory is not in never falling... but in rising every time we fall."
As long as there is basketball left to be played I don't count out the Spurs.

Believe.
Just keep digging that hole man.
You know I'm right. Tim Duncan is a dopey-looking bas . There's no denying that.
There's no denying your stupidity, either. You'll see what I mean in a minute or two.
