Spurs did a great job keeping the Lakers at bay this game. Lakers had a tough time putting Spurs away in their house during an elimination game when Ginobili and Parker were both struggling.
Good job Spurs, your team rocks.
Manu broke my heart this year. It's not as hard to take as the dirk foul, but I am close to suggesting we trade him. I just don't know how the Spurs should use him, is his career going to be limited to 6th man from now on? They need another consistent star, and Manu might be getting to the point where he is going to go down hill fast.

If he had had his way, the team would've been DISMANTLED before the season. Then he got Gasol in a deal that should've been nixed by the league. Then he got a fatigued Spurs and Manu on one leg. LUCKY ER.

Every big man in the league gets away with a ton of contact that could be called for dozens of fouls every game - and Tim Duncan, my favorite player or not, gets away with more than most. It takes those who are NOT soft to play through it.
Gasol has defended Duncan like very few in his career have. In addition, his hep defense on the pick-and-roll has been absolutely superb - credit him with shutting down Parker when it needed doing.
He's played very good defense.
I look at it this way, if Boston or Detroit beats LA they would have beaten SA. However, we will never know. Appreciated your wit here lefty, you are a good guy and a great fan of the Spurs.

He just sucked this series... Lakers forced him right.. and he burnt himself out playing 30 minutes a night in the regular season. He was a liability to the team this series... you could never say that for Tim or even Tony.
I guess we can put all that 'franchise player' talk and Kobe and Duncan comparisons to rest.

It was impossible to win with an injured Ginobili, his stats are pretty horrible in this series despite of having his Best NBA season.
