U better recognize! hahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!
Classy posts! I'd like to say thanks from all the decent Laker fans. I have nothing but respect for the Spurs from top to bottom. No doubt with a few adjustments (that you always make) that you will be right back next year in the hunt.
Going to the Finals is a huge accomplishment for us after our last 4 years of dissapointments. Beating the Spurs to get there makes it all the more valuable. Please don't get me wrong, I don't mean that in a rubbing it in kind a way. It's meant as a It adds validity to the accomplishment to best a worthy and class opponent.
You had a great year, and well battle next one...
Thanks Again
U better recognize! hahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!
Thankfully, the Lakers overcame more "tough breaks" than the Spurs and won this series four games to one.
LOL.........you're a whiney .
You mean.........THE BLACK MAMBA?
No sense rubbing it in. So relieved it's over.
As far as this board is concerned, this thread is what it's all about. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The Spurs are a class organization. I'm glad the Spurs won when the Lakers can't. Now, let's what's ahead for them in the Finals.
Most of the posters in this board know about hoops. They know championship basketball.. They know their Spurs, the NBA. They know hoops. Interestingly enough, the posters here (the good ones anyway) have taken it after the Spurs... they are classy too.
I came here for the series. To talk hoops, smack a little. It's over. I'm out. Good luck all.
PS
Man in Black, check PM.
Thanks to the Spurs for giving the Lakers all they could handle and being a worthy opponent. We will represent the Western Conference well and will not let you guys down. At the end of the day us W.C. folks have to stick together. Kudos on your 4 les, much respect due. Now let's have us some Boston cream pie!
Thanks a lot guys! It was one of a series!![]()
To be fair, the Lakers bench really stepped up tonight - no choking at all to help Kobe out , so props to them.
So do I! p: But the better team-LA Lakers won and they earned it. So congrats to the Lakers.
As for me, I'm going to hibernate until my favorite sport, pro football, rears its head again in July. I hope my Dolphins are much improved from 2007I
The Spurs loss.....it hurts right now but it'll get better; it's not the end of the world. I still love the Spurs no matter what and the championship pic from 2007 will remain on my desktop at work no matter who wins the NBA championship (probably the Lakers)![]()
Have some friggin class, you troll.
' s like you give us bad reputations.
Spurs Fans, Thanks for the gracious words and let's make the next few years what the beginning of this decade was.
I want to see Duncan and Kobe killing each other on the court for the next few years.
Man, this forum is great....
Alot of really classy Spur fans...alot of Spur trolls..... I love it!![]()
Enjoy your riots, it's been six years if you beat the Celtics/Pistons.
Congrats to the Lakers. They outplayed the Spurs. Phil outcoached Pop.
Thank you for the props. I really do respect the out of the spurs. They are a great team and they have class. Pistons will be joining the fishing line very soon. It is inevitable. Rip is having elbow issues, Billups is sluggish, Sheed is 1 tech away from getting suspended, Flip is the head coach, and these are pretty much the same Pistons who have folded in the conference finals the past 2 years.
Celtics vs Lakers is going to happen. It is not a matter of if but a matter of when.
I have to admit. I came on this forum after the game tonight expecting to read a bunch of poor sported sour grape posts. Just as I have with our previous playoff opponents. And then I was gonna gloat and rub the Spurs fans noses in it. I was wrong. After reading 99.99% of this thread, I am truly humbled and impressed. I have never seen anything like this on any other sports forum. Those of you who reached out and offered congratulations to the Lakers have shown real class and good sportsmanship that every sports fan could learn from. I'm used to posting some searing parting shots and eulogies to opposing teams. Because of the "real gentlemen" posts on this thread I can in no way bring myself to do such a thing. So, instead I'm gonna thank you for having me as a guest on this forum and for making the series more fun and meaningful. I look forward to another series in the future. You have shown this corner of the internet what being a true Champion really means.
IMHO.. Manu could've done better.. Blame the Jammed Ankle, Nailless finger.. If Manu showed up in this series like he did in the regular season, he would've given us a of a challenge...
Props to Jerry West and the Lakers for the great trade.
Both teams played hard.
The board, like the majority of the posters here are class and top notch. I too have a lot of respect for this Spurs franchise from top to bottom. This Spurs team is not dead as long as you have Duncan and Pop running the show.
Come on folks. Jerry West was not part of Memphis when the trade happened. He left since before the year started.
It's Lurch and Ainge who totally screwed the pooch for the TPups and made the Celtics a huge contender in the east.
It's all about the hook-up.![]()
Just relieved it's over, I hate playing the Spurs but I actually like everyone on this Spurs team except for Robert Horry. Man I can't stand him.
gg Spurs, I'm sure we'll be seeing plenty of you guys next year as well.
FTL
I feel dirty just communicating with L.A vermin.
Only good part of this series being over, hopefully don't have to read more sappy fake sportsmanship b.s from Laker fan.
If fans from ANY other team were propping my Spurs after eliminating them I would humbly accept.
But, any and all things Laker after the Magic, Kareem era, are in my book inherently evil.
I just can't bring myself to have a rapport with fans that root for such a pompous, egomaniacal, wife cheating (well just one guy as far as we know I'll give you that), talking group of players.
Okay, thanks for the kind words, blah blah, good luck (not really, hopefully your best player is diminished by injury and fatigue, so he can finally pay some dues like Manu has), and please kindly right off.
Go Pistons!!!
