Although this is my first full year as a member, I just wanted to take some room to outline some very important events that show how SpursTalk has transcended the conventional Forum format and has developed itself in the Best Sports Forum.
- During this year, we've seen not only some media recognition talking about the commitment and the quality of SpursTalk, but what is most important, a fanbase support to the forum. From old foes like Sons, Lakers and Mavs to newcomers like Hornets, fans have recognize the freedom that SpursTalk has. Nurturing and intelligent posts that shows that people in SpursTalk are by essence, basketball fans. Laugh-cracking threads that initiated by trolls became icons of the Forum, like the Sporks thread.
- The amazing effort from Kori and timvp to upgrade the servers, maintaining the same outstanding quality of the service for a continuously-growing list of members and visitors. I imagine that this wasn't free and I don’t recall receiving a “voluntarily contribution” request like I’ve seen in other Forums.
So, without taking any more of your time, I wish everybody a great summer, enjoy the offseason SpursTalk activity and THANKS X1000000 to Kori and timpv!!!

Thanks Kori, timvp, (and Slomo)! The Spurs are the only pro team I have ever loved and this is the only forum I have ever posted on. When I first moved to SA in 2003 and started following the team I was desperate to learn everything I could as fast as possible. I found ST and have been here since. It was nice to learn from regular folks and not from books or announcers. Now I come here just to shoot the , but I still learn something every day! Keep up the good work!

Anyway, thanks. We will be making some changes this summer. (No, they don't include banning more people or anything.) But we are going to work on ins uting an arcade section and adding a few other forums that you all have been asking about for a while. Obviously, I'll keep you informed with the updates/upgrades.

If any of you haven't been through a SpursTalk offseason, don't think the fun ends just because the Spurs season is over Though we all hate them getting knocked out, the offseason is a fun time here for talking about the draft, free agency, trades, international ball, etc. Some of the posters here are extremely knowledgeable about the salary cap and all that goes along with it. So, it's always informative to hang out here in the summer (and fun too)!

Yeah, I love the offseason here (excluding the "lets trade Tony for..." "let's trade Manu for .." threads).

Yeah, other than the trade talk for Tony or Manu, this is a good place.

I like coming here. You guys do an amazing job of keeping it a fun forum.

By the way, when do the signings for other players start? I hear that Pop just signed an extension. Do you think Manu might sign one too? Or it's too early for that?
