I bailed a friend out of Bexar County back in the early 90's.
The wonderful folks at the jail made ME feel like the criminal.
Made me happy to be a taxpayer.
Friend is in the county jail and will be there for a while till he in sentenced on theft charges.
I am visiting him tomorrow morning and was wondering if I am allowed to bring him plain white shirts or anything?
I'm in central Arkansas, but I assume the rules are pretty basic for all jails. The website said tobacco is prohibited, why is dumb ass me thinks. But it didn't say anything about my question.
Anyone ever done anything of the sort?

nah all you can do is send him money for ...i recently tried to send my homeboy some pre-stamped envelopes and they took them....
I had a friend in jail...trust me...what he wants is porn mags...may be too shy to ask.
assuming they allow it
yeah send him some pictures of family and like that...I was actually holding back on the pictures I sent to him of my wife cause I knew he would beat off to them....
That's ty.
no. Actually, I don't know, maybe Arkansas's more liberal with the rules than where I live, but in these here parts anything you want to hook up has to fit flat in an envelope. The nicest thing you could do is hook up some commissary $. Nothing is worse than jail "food" and that way he'll at least be able to buy some ramen and shower sandals.
the they make with roman is outta control...who the makes burritos outta roman...and this called spread....ask your boy about it, it will blow your mind...have fun at your visit homie...
I heard guards screw them on their money though.. a friend of mine deposited 100 dollars into his brothers thing and he only saw 20 of it.
Jail guards are one step above jail inmates on the societal ladder. I wouldn't put it past them, but still, if your homie doesn't have any cash I'd bet he's hating life even more than he would otherwise.
nah just do like 20 every week or so...thats what ol' boys mom did...
Send him pictures of you with his wife/GF.
damn JB...I had no idea you was such a pimp....LJ if you ever get locked up watch out for china man
Why are you bringing him a plain white shirt? The county blues arent good enough for him?
In Bexar county, it's county orange. Not that I know anything about that or anything.![]()
i thought the females wore blue SW...
The only clothes he'll be allowed to wear are jail issued.
OK, I had to look up what the was in spread.
The Spread — Ramen
* Ingredients Packs Ramen Noodles ( y chicken is the best)
* 1 package of cheetos or generic equivalent
* 1 package of y cheetos or generic equivalent
* 1 Meat Log or 4 of the smaller meat sticks
* Mayonnaise and tortillas
In jail there are no pots and pans, just a hot water machine, a microwave, small bowls, and garbage bags!
Step 1: The noodles: Smash the packages of noodles into small noodle bits. Take a large garbage bag (a new one) and put the smashed noodle bits inside of it. Fill a pitcher with hot water and put it in the microwave to get it boiling. Pour the boiling water into the bag and tie the bag closed. Let the noodles cook for 10 minutes.
Step 2: The Meat: Tear or cut the meat into small pieces, place all the meat into a bowl, add about a half inch of water and dump all the soup flavoring packets into the bowl. Cook the meat for 3-4 minutes in the microwave.
Step 3: The chips: Smash the bags of chips into dust. You can adjust the ratio of cheesy chips to y chips to whatever you like.
Step 4: The Mix: Dump the meat and any juice that is in the bowl into the garbage bag of noodles, Dump the chip dust in as well. Tie the bag back up and mix.
Step 5: Plating” This dish feeds 5 people, it should fill everyones bowl to the top. Use a county issued cup to dish out the spread. Top with a few squirts of mayo and give each person a tortilla.
This stuff makes a good burrito filling. Jail sucks. There are a lot of variations to this recipe of course but this is SPREAD in it’s most simple form. Noodles, chips, meat, mayo.
Huh?
I spent the night in jail before and I got eggs and bacon for breakfast, with a glass of orange juice.
To my knowledge, that was pretty typical for all inmates and detainees.
This spread, it doesn't sound good by any means. Why not just have some Romen with a bag of cheetos and a tortilla.
Who would have thought Angel wanted a bad boy?
I prefer misunderstood.![]()
You didn't shoot the deputy?
spending a night and serving time in there is two completely different things and you should know that...that spread is pretty much how he told me with the hot Cheeto's and what not...homeboy said that he preferred spread over the hassle of going to chow for some lame ass food...I cant believe that you actually looked that up and found the same ...good man...so now that my homeboy is out he like man I need to get you to try this one time...Im like man I wouldnt make you eat an MRE why would you want to do this to me
also the meat was Spam, and they used hit plates to keep the warm...trash bags and all that is how they did it...
