I'm going to go tomorrow![]()
Just got back from seeing it and....it was AMAZING!!
I was in shock at the theatre. First we had to pre-order the tickets since almost everything was sold out, the theatre was the biggest one they had and it was PACKED. This group of about 12 girls who sat behind us had a whole party and sneaked in martini glasses and some cosmo's.And people actually clapped when it was over. It was like a cult following.
I wasn't a big follower of the show, I've caught some reruns on TBS. But the movie was awesome and if you loved the show, you're going to love the movie. It was funny at unexpected times and it was emotional at others.
Anyone else see it yet?
I'm going to go tomorrow![]()
Are you making timvp go with you?
does that Kim Catrall show off those bazooms? If that horce-faced skank SJP does, nevermind I'll just stab my own with an icepick instead.
Oh my god Kori, you are going to love it. The shoes are SPECTACULAR in the movie![]()
I'm not "making" him. But yes, he's going with me.![]()
Yes, I've seen a lot of the shoes and handbags in photos.![]()
So he wants to go see it?
![]()
Actually, there were a lot of guys there. I went with a bunch of my girlfriends, and we were shocked at how many girls actually got their Significant Other's to go see the film.
Timvp, you're in luck. This wasn't the usual tacky and sappy chick flick. It was actually very funny and moved along very quickly.
I don't know if he want to go. I said, "Can we go see the Sex and the City movie this weekend?" And he said, "Yes."

Did you happen to ask him at a weak moment, like say after the Spurs lost game 5?
Will you two talk about the fabulous shoes and handbags in the movie on the way home?
I doubt it.
I write about shoes and handbags almost every day and we don't really discuss them. Except if I show him shoes that I want to buy.
SFIE will be pleased to hear it. We are going tomorrow before noon. I'm hoping that will ensure it isn't completely packed. He is being made to go, because I went and saw Ironman. Now, I ended up liking Ironman, so if he hates this, I'll never hear the end of it.
I also have to go see Hulk (sigh!) because he saw Narnia.
I really have never understood the show's popularity. It just bored me to tears the few times I tried to watch.
Um... there's naked chicks on it. Thankfully, horseface hasn't ever been one of them though.
Naked chicks are no big deal. If you have the internets you can see a lot more than just naked chicks.
Sometimes it's nice to see naked chicks on a screen larger than 19"
Is the graphic nudity in the mpaa rating good enough to spend 10 bucks?
Not if it's only rated R. Rated R now equals rated pg-13 in 1989. Rated NC-17 in 1989 now equals late night Skinamax material.
can you watch the movie without ever seeing the series?
Saw it last night at 9:15 at La Cantara. If you see it there get early expect a line and get your drinks early.
I liked it. I don't know if I loved it. I wasn't a huge Sex and the City fan when it was out, but I did watch enough to know what was going on and to see it without asking any questions. People who I saw it with who loved Sex and the City loved it.
Yes, they start the movie by giving you a little recap of how the series ended. It was really good.
As for the "graphic nudity" I mean, you guys act like you've never seen an R rated movie beforeObviously they showed a lot of sex scenes (including a 3some with a guy and 2 girls that men will appreciate
) but it wasn't overly done.
Oh and the lines are outrageous. If anyone is going, you should try getting there at least 1/2 hour early just to get seats.
It was quite annoying as when we got there we saw there were plenty of seats open, but damn people were leaving about 5 or 6 seats between them and stating that they were all "saving" it for someone. I hate when people do that.![]()
