The truth is Manu is the most blatant flopper in the league. If you can't accept that, tough luck. Tony Parker falls to the ground more than anybody but Dwyane Wade - he'll make Stern plenty of money too. Kurt Thomas? Name a big man that flops more than his pancake-ass?
About Fisher though... I seem to remember him losing a step or two at the end of their le-run, and the Lakers giving up on him cuz they needed someone that could keep up with the quicker guards.
It seems a little strange(at his age) for him to have gotten stronger and quicker than when the Lakers let him go. The way Fisher's head is looking, maybe my boy Barry hooked a brother up.
Don't look now, but the Spurs are the most floppy team in the league. There's a reason ya'll got put on blast. Lakers flipped your floppin' asses right outta the playoffs. The same Laker team you thought had no chance of beating you, especially without Bynum or Ariza.
PS... Notice, Laker fans don't dedicate whole threads to injury excuses for Bynum and Ariza... we just went out made chumps out of champs and did what we do best: Keep Spurs fan obsessed with the Lakers.

Uh nice try, but Manu flops twice as much as any other player in the league. The referees mistake his premeditated clumsiness as him being fouled. Fisher is just a hard worker and draws contact better than most in the league. There's a difference. Manu drives and then flops around like somebody shot him from the crowd. Fish is stocky enough to take the hit and get the call. He's just a solid defender that the Spurs would love to have as a compliment to Bruce "slappy" Bowen. Again, nice try.
Goodbye to a post season full of flops and o to a major flop of an article.

Fish doesn't flop, he takes hits. There's a difference. Nobody touches Manu and he false so bad that the opposing team's trainer is inclined to check on him and make sure he didn't in' kill himself. Kurt Thomas telegraphs his flops worse than a Tim Duncan bank shot, yet he falls and gets calls. Tony Parker treats every drive to the basket like a one-man train wreck. The Spurs perform more flops than a in waffle house. Stern will make plenty of money off of you guys.
The stat from 82games says that D Fish drew 54 offensive fouls. That could be an indicator of flopping, except he only fell down on about ten of them. He's just tough.
Big difference between pulling stats off of the internet and knowing the game.

The other thing, which anyone who's ever watched a Spurs game should know, is that flopping to draw a charging call is only one part of the modern game. There's flopping when you're screened, flopping when you're dribbiling, and my favorite--flopping when your team is trying to inbound the ball. I think Ginobli flopped three times in about five seconds when the Spurs were trying to inbound the ball in the final seconds of the Phoenix loss. He may have hurt himself.
Forget the article, and Manu. The irony of an L.A. resident pretending to have an exclusive handle on "the truth" is just too much. It would be laughable if it weren't so pathetic.
Manu gets his share of hits too. How many times have you seen him with a black eye or a cut? He scaled back a whole lot on his flopping this year. If you watched all 99 games this season, you would know that. There's way worse offenders in the league than Manu. Fisher flop cost Golden State the playoffs. Posey has been flopping all year long. And Varejao has made a living from the flop since he got into the league.

As the article pointed out, Spurs amassed the most sophisticated floppers currently playing in the NBA. Not only we Suns fans see that. That's why I wanted to share this article.

i think its gonna be damn hard to judge obvious flops most of the team. and you cant really directly correspond taking charges and flopping.
Sorry to say this, but flops are here to stay. There is no way in that refs can be 100% that some player was really hit or did he flop.
I have another idea how to stop flopers.
League should hit them with big fines after su ious situations are reviewed by the leagues experts. Players are professionals and most of them only care about their money.
I've been watching the nba for 25+ years, and nobody comes close to the flopping ridiculousness Derek Fisher has put in. Runner up would be Vlade Divac. But Fisher is the absolute king of flops, that guy should be fined his entire salary.
No you're right....they just bring it up in an article about something totally different. If injuries aren't a big deal why do you bring them up at all?

The refs can't even do their jobs right as it is. Next step will be to add 2 more refs to every game, and then two more, and soon we'll have more refs on the court than players.
I'm sick of the gotdamn NBA.
League should try to concentrate on getting obvious fouls right like when Fisher ran over Barry. Too bad Barry didn't flop a bit like Fisher or Kobe would have.
