My accountant just informed me that I am not eligible for the rebate because even though I paid over $133,000.00 in income tax last year, I made over the cap which was set at $ 175,000.00 in adjusted gross income.

So, people that paid 5 K or less in income taxes will get $600-$1200 back, and I, who get raped every year by Uncle Sam get nothing at all.

I guess they came up with that 175K cap, because congressmen fall below that cap....how coincidental.

Stop calling it a rebate then and just call it a bribe then. The people like me who own the small businesses in this country are getting tired of footing the ing bill for every problem this govt gets into. Yes, my business in successful, and I make a good living, but I worked my ass off for 8 years in school while most of you ers were out getting drunk and partying, and I worked all through school at night because nobody paid a dime for my education, and I did not get one penny from the govt without having to pay it back. After school, I worked 50 hrs a week for a couple of other dentists for less than 12 dollars an hour, because I could not get a loan without collateral and because of my student loans, so please get off your self rightous high horse and stop busting my chops for ing for about not getting anything back from my ing govt after always being the one that pays and pays and pays. I have a right to want a small rebate for the close to 3 million dollars that I have paid in income taxes the last 24 years.... face.
