I am excited to receive it. I only got $12 back on my income tax this year.
Well initially I thought why complain when you make so much money? I mean my personal opinion is the government sends these checks because of us poor people being in debt. It was an excuse to 'help' us maybe I don't know, when really I would give up mine and wish everyone else would if we could just get a real plan going on here to fix this economy rather than handing out money for temporary fixes.
Like using tape to hold the starter on your car..

I am 23 and got mine today. I have been a complete dumb fool to be honest. I fell for a girl, and ed around with her since I was 18. Never went to college or made anything of myself. Now that's all over and I can see clearly now, I find myself in a bit of a hole, and feeling way behind as my friends are further along than I am.
It's my own fault. But my check is going to my truck payment. It was going to go with my plan to start school, maybe do something with my life unlike the rest of my family. But I got behind, and was really hurting for the check to just make it back above water. The kicker is the truck is a 1999 Yukon, so bad on gas. Hahaha man oh man. Good thing is it's not through any dealership or anything, it's through a family friend.
I heard they might do stimulus checks again in 2 years. By then I will be 25 and hopefully have some money by then saved up for some kind of schooling and that check would just be a help. I'm just really trying to hold out as long as I can on going off to the Navy. I personally do not want to do the military thing, it's just not for me but with gas prices and a crummy job I might not have a choice.
So I thought more, and realized what if I did make it to your point one day Jim? Making good money and , I would feel really betrayed and screwed if I didn't get a check either. But like I said I think it's an excuse to give money to the poorer folk for a temp fix.
Social Security is a crock. I see people in my clinic everyday that absolutely MOOCH off of SS. They have the freakin' audacity to BRAG about how much their monthly check is and compare it to other patients' checks. I would say at least 70% of the clinic population is receiving SS and of that 70% maybe 25-30% actually need it. We get requests from the SS office for medical evaluations all the time on people younger than me (26)!!! They are handing this out to anyone! It's bull !

It shouldn't matter what a person makes. I am happy someone is living the American dream.
When Kori gives out hot wings at her GTGs she doesn't ask us what we weigh in order to determine how many wings we each get, so why should it matter what a person makes when giving out money?
I thought the whole purpose of giving out the money is so Bush can try somehow in his warped little mind, find a way out of our failed economy.

I have never been spoiled..not as a child, not as a student, not as a dentist. My employees get health insurance, paid 2 wks vacation, sick leave, all their scubs and coats paid for, profit sharing and yearly trips. I am one of the most generous people anyone knows, always helping friends and family in need of money and always picking up the check at restaurants when we are out with friends and family. I know what it is like to be without a lot of money(grew up with a single mom, worked from the time I was 10) and that is why I try to help all I can for those less fortunate....so spoiled, I am not.
As I said, I am not crying about the non rebate, I was just venting, because of the above mentioned bull that this govt is always pulling , just to help their own sorry asses.

hey, even if some of us were to make a million dollars a year, we're still gonna throw a fit if we don't get the secret decoder ring that was promised by Toucan Sam in our box of cereal. The lousy Toucan promised that decoder ring and I'm gonna slap the purple off of his multicolored snout if he doesn't give me my friggin ring.

So I get my check the other day. I was expecting somewhere between 6 and 12 hundred, but it was $8000. I called to make sure it was no error, and when they looked me up they said consider it a gift, from all the "rich folk" out there.
