+1 Didn't you guys see Bowen telling Kobe to "bring it home for the West"???
Lakers all the way, baby...crush Boston!!!![]()
LA has perhaps the largest fanbase of any basketball team. Obviously they have their share of bandwagon fans. But don't generalize, you have no idea how many hardcore Laker fans exist.

pretty compelling arguments... but to me, KG and Ray Allen having no rings is much more important.
Bring it home LA
Man please, this isn't Democrats and Republicans. I'm rooting for beantown and i don't care who knows it.

I hope that for 3 consecutive games, both teams play the most awful, boring, boneheaded, choker kind of basketball ever seen on a court. And then the entire rosters of both organizations are kidnapped by a flying saucer, leaving the championship empty. I hope the aliens insert tubes in each cavity of every player, except Vujacic, who'd enjoy it and ask for more tubes. Then the history books will look like this:
2007: San Antonio Spurs
2008: Empty*
2009: San Antonio Spurs
*= Cancelled due flying saucer attack.
This is my way to say that I won't waste a single minute of my time watching this so-called "Dream Finals".
Most of the people from Boston that I have met are pompous, condescending s.
But they are no where near the douchiness of Laker fan. Your typical Laker fan is a front running, bandwagon, fair weather, arrogant prick who usually knows nothing about basketball. All they know is that they want to be like Kobe. And I'm not talking about just the kids. I'm talking about your middle aged Laker fan who rocks the Kobe jersey with the clear sunglasses and the CZ earring.
It's not even close. I want Lakernation to have their hearts ripped out. I want this one to hurt in August when they are down in Cabo sipping on their margaritas.
the spurs came from the east...now play for the west...does it really matter who wins the nba championship..............imo not one bit.....go spurs go
Honestly I don't like bandwagon fans and the Lakers have the worst out of the worst bandwagon fans as demostrated by the ones who post here. Plus they are too many of the Laker players I don't like. I
I will start with Kobe. I don't like Kobe and his sense of his en lement which was demostrated at the end of game 4 when he stated that wasn't a foul with a stupid smirk on face that illustrated he knew he was telling a lie. He could have atleast admitted it was a foul. I recall in 95 against the Hornets in an eliminationg game where MJ on the final play shoved Hersey Hawkins hard in the back when he went for a layup but the refs swallowed the whistle and thus the hornets lost but at the end of the game MJ said that was clearly a foul he committed and felt fortunate the refs didn't call it. This is the best example of why Kobe will never be loved like MJ was by all basketball fans. His smugness and arrogance is too much for me to ever root for him.
Dfish- I have always hated this guy and is goes back before .4 . I just never like this guy he comes across to me as a too much of a lackey. He's a scrub player who can only play great in the triangle but outside of that he's useless. I really hated this guys arrogance and the way he acts like he's the when he really isn't. His strenghts are flopping but its termed as a great defense when he does it unlike when Manu does the same. He's crappy shooter just streaky that can go off every now and then. Fact is that this guy was garbage last year against the spurs with the Jazz. I did enjoy '03 when the spurs made this punk cry like a those were good times.
Gasol,Sasha- In a nuts annoying eurotrash that acts y for no reason when they haven't done sh1t. I don't get Gasol's stupid smirks and giggles along with his new y attiude considering the guy always chokes under pressure its just too bad the spurs couldn't really put him in that situation like they did back in '04. Hate his y at ude when he doesn't get fouls called.
I'm not a huge fan of KG,Ray,Pierce but they don't strike me as arrogant punks just annoying SOB's at times. I can stomach those type of guys winning moreso over arrogant whiney punks. I know some spur fans don't like the idea of KG winning 1 le and thus people saying he is better then Duncan. Yes that will happen among some media member but at the end of the day 10-20 years from now when reflecting on their career 4 will always be greater then 1. I could live with KG winning 1 le it won't be as bad as if Kobe wins this one. If Kobe wins this the media will be on his jock strap and he will be annoited the greatest basketball player of this generation it will dwarf Shaq,Duncan who have been the best players in the league the last 10 years. We will never hear the end of it well atleast not until Lebron wins his first le.
I do. I couldn't find a Laker fan at an LA sports bar from 04-07. Never saw anyone in Laker gear anywhere in the city. Now everyone's hardcore again? Bull . Laker fan and Raider Fan too.
I am rooting for Boston only cuz I want to see KG finally get a ring... I hate Kobe, Phil, and the Fakers... On Boston I hate everyone except KG.... I probably will hardly even watch it.. if it happens to be on then I will watch if I am in the same room...
I have never rooted for the Fakers and I am not about to start now...
what?? I thought you're rebuilding started when you got Gasol (for nothing).
Nobody beats up the spurs and gets away with it...Boston has my go!
no love for the C's here, but I'll be pulling for Boston, cause Kobe should be in jail.
Any subsequent championships the Fakers win should have an * because of the imperfections in the US legal system.
After painfully watching Game 1, I think I'm going to hope for the Celtics. I tried thinking about rooting for the Lakers but I just couldn't.
FTL.
I am so happy the Fakers lost game 1. I will never root for the Lakers!
Celtics is the lesser evil. Their scrubs are less annoying than Laker scrubs to me.
I hated seeing game 1 though.
Honestly, this series reminds of the last two presidential elections.
The only bad part about the Celtics is it reminds me how great it would have been to have signed PJ Brown instead of Rasho in 2003. Not to mention James Posey last summer.

Yeah, the difference between Celts help and Spurs help, was the first thing I noticed.
All I know is, if Lakers won game 1. I think I'd be feeling even tier.
Doc Rivers feeling good at the presser is a better alternative than Phil Jackson grinning victoriously.
yeah pj was awesome![]()
