I know, it's hard to tell.
uh ... KG hasn't gotten his ring yet?
I know, it's hard to tell.
I'm passing, this series feels tainted. I wish both teams could lose. I'm sick of the media stirring up all this retro rivalry stuff. Then they'll pump 'Can kobe win without Shaq? Will Garnette get that elusive le?'. Blah, I'm waiting for next season.
As a Pacers' fan, there is only one way that a Lakers/Celtics Finals could gall me more. If they somehow find a way to get Starks on the floor, my brain will explode.
I'm going to watch the finals...so I can see boston destroy the lakers.
Ohhh...sweet revenge!
I could care less who wins.
After breaking my consecutive Finals-watching streak in 2006 at 9 straight, I am again watching the NBA championship series. I couldn't bear to watch that Dallas-Heat series, as neither team had any buisness playing in those Finals, and I even hard a hard time watching that 2005 Finals, as the Pistons simply didn't belong there (Heat outplayed them, Wade just got hurt).
I like KG, and PP is my favorite active player, (with Memo, Wade, and a couple others close behind). I have no malace towards Ray Allen. I like the talent on that team. I don't dislike Doc, I just think he sucks, much as Larry Brown sucks. (only I actually started disliking Larry about halfway through the 2003 season).
I am not so much of a Kobe fan, but I do appreciate that bench of theirs, and I love Pau's game. I don't love Phil Jackson, but I recognize him as the preeminent coach in American Pro Sports.
I can live with the outcome of this series, either way, and I happen to think that if the rest of this series is as well played and exciting as this game was, that everyone watching will be very happy.
Why? Walton isn't there.
Although that Bird Magic spot was kind of creepy. More so than previous split face commercials.
I think most people who grew up watching basketball in the 90's do miss NBC.
I actually LIKED Bob Costas.
Poor Kobe… I bet he’d trade that MVP for a shaqless ring in a heartbeat, will never happen anyways… I guess next season everything will be back to normal, with the money the NBA is piling up this year, no need to fix … so we will probably have a real final.
Cheers spurs champs again next year, book it.
I miss NBC more and more each year.
