I miss NBA on NBC.....give me Marv Albert and Bill Walton and Doug Collins.
good ol days
Normally i like Breen, Jackson and Van Gundy but in a very good game i thought they did a terrible job keeping the excitement up in key spots. When Celts and Lakers were going back and forth half the time, Van Gundy was telling a dumb story or Jackson was rambling on about something. He spent like 5 min trying to convince everyone KG is a winner in spite of always losing. Breen even missed a huge and 1, that i think Gasol got towards the end of the game. Took him like 15 seconds to realize it. Took away from the game for me.

I normally enjoy them and I thought they were off last night, but I thought they got better as the game went along. Basically I hate Jackson, I'd prefer they just went with Breen and Van Gundy. Also, I like all NBA fans concur, NBA on NBC was the .
Breen, Jackson, & Van Gundy are as bad as it gets. Jackson brings as much insight as Stephen A. Smith, meaning zero, Breen never gets anything right, and Van Gundy knows his stuff but just isn't that interesting.
They try to e it up with all the arguing and jabbing at each other, but instead of sounding like 3 guys having a jolly good time poking fun at each other (like EJ, Kenny, & Charles), instead they just sound like 3 women bickering about who has the best shoe collection.
van gundy gets names mixed up all the time so it often leaves you wondering "wtf??"
I think kevin harlan is the best NBA announcer right now.
he has the voice and has a excitement that they dont have.
also doug collins and hubie brown are the best color.
I agree that MJ sucks! He always takes these stupid snipes a JVG all the time that gets annoying. ABC was ok when Walton was around calling the games.
Man, they just KILLED the intensity. I felt like I was watching a boring All-Star game.
Joking, talking about the players' lives...
Man, imagine if the same Finals, btwn LA and Celtics would have been on NBC, It would have been awesome (or on CBS with Stockton and Heinson)
But that TRULY annoys me when the Spurs are playing. That and when they change to that re ed camera angle.
as much as i dislike ABC's coverage of the NBA. i just love that NBA FINALS intro at the beginning.
all the memories of the great players and moments.
awesome stuff
I LOVED the 2005 NBA Finals game 1 introduction, with the Duncan- Billups stories.
Gives me goosebumps everytime
i just so wish the spurs couldve been here now. this was thier time to repeat.
ok, ill let it go.........
ABC's trio kills TNT's lame-ass lineups. Doug Collins and Reggie Miller are the two worst national color guys in the league. I wish TNT would just pull Charles out the studio and pair him with Marv Albert. That would be bar far the best team since Chick Hearn retired.
The intro was epic and the build up very well handled. However I will agree, the commentators were pretty ty. I don't like Mike "Bang" Breen at all.

It would be![]()
ABC needs to put on Hubie Brown. Get rid of Mark Jackson who can barely get out a cogent sentence. Breen looked like a ing drunk.
Van Gundy at one point to Jackson:
"Don't you eyeball me, boy!"
He was quoting the movie "Officer and a Gentleman", but there was a very awkward moment afterward.
WTF were they doing talking about that movie anyway? The in finals are no, dip s.
I can't stand Mark Jackson's voice. Where's Hubie Brown when you need him?
There should be a rule. If players are going to be calling games, they at the very least should have won at least 1 Championship. Hearing these guys like Barkley, or that moron Mark Jackson talk about what it takes to win a championship is like Keith Richards doing just say NO to drugs ads.
Everything outside the actual basketball game sucked big time. TNT should do the Finals.
That's Mike Breen for you. His nasal, one-tone autistic voice is so utterly awful that that ignorant imbecile Al Michaels manages to be the better basketball announcer.
