Check this out. This cougar was hit by a car in Boring, Oregon a couple of days ago. Boring is about 20 miles outside of Portland.

When I lived in Olympia, Wa. cougars were a common thing. In fact we were placed on cougar alerts pretty regularly; which was keep your kids and animals inside. Same thing with bears. It wasn't unusual to see a bear trap (they were like little U-haul trailers) set up on your street a couple times per year.

You are correct sir! LOL! This cat was actually in Northern Arizona. I'll have to blame my Dad for sending the false info to me! We do have big cats in Oregon though...
