Big Ben sucks.
Big Ben is not over rated. He bounced back nicely from the season before where he had all those off season issues. He's where he should be in the NFL QB pecking order.
Big Ben sucks.
I don't think he is the best QB in the league but definetly top 5. He put up good numbers with a below average WR corps and he has just as many rings as those Manning boys. So I don't think he is overrated. He is rated just fine.
Definitely not top 5. Give me P. Manning, Brady, Palmer, Brees, Romo (theres 5 HANDS DOWN that are better), McNabb, Hasselbeck, Rivers, Garrard, E. Manning, VY all before Big Ben.
that piece of Big Ben. He should have just got out of the way and let Nick Harper take it to the house. But no, everybody's gotta be a hero.![]()
If it weren't for that tackle and Hines Ward saving his ass in the SB, Roethlisberger would be known as a bigger playoff choker than Peyton, Romo, & LaDainian combined and multiplied by 100.
LOL@ someone wanting VY before Ben.
Midge do u post in the weight loss forum or something? I don't have permission to read the post in ur sig.
Well, even giving him the tackle. . . If that Vanderjagt hadn't missed the FG, the Colts probably would have won in OT just on the adrenaline from coming back from 21-3. It would have been a great moment for Nick Harper though. Dude's wife shanks him in the leg and he ends up taking Bettis's only fumble of the year to the house for the win? Then he looks into the camera and says "Shank that, !" I'd have rather seen the Colts get rick rolled in Foxborough again than to lose to Ben ing Roethlisberger like that.
I can give you the password for the drug dealing forum if you need it.
NOW I'M DONE!
Brady better than Manning?
Romo a 94? Gerrard 92?
The .
EA obviously doesn't watch sports. Their ratings are bogus in every sports game they make.
Seriously???
Cutler - 86
Leinart - 85
YOUNG - 88???
For cryin out loud, Matt Freakin Ryan is an 83... if you had to pick a QB for this year only, and you had to pick between Ryan or Cutler, who would you take? And there is only three overall differential points between the two?
p.s. Chad Henne and Joe Flacco have 95 and 97 throw power respectively. Cutler has 95 too. Don't tell me either of those two rookies throw as hard as Cutler.
And with a QB awareness of 70, apparently Cutler is just as stupid as Vince Young on the football field.
Someone screwed these ratings up big time. And that's just cutler, there are tons of screw ups on that board.
Edit: Cutler's awareness is the same as last year, his throw power the same, and His accuracy down 2 points! Madden is a joke.
(Sorry for being such a Cutler homer.. yet I am.)
Why rate that piece of highly? He screwed the Broncos out of a playoff spot 2 years ago, and last year made damn sure they weren't in it again. He was a loser in college and he's a loser in the pros. Losers don't get high ratings.
Give me a break dude. QB rating isn't judge on W/L's. VY should be a 99 since he 'wins' games all by himself..... Actually, he probably holds that team back.
Did you really expect Cutler to take the Broncos the playoffs his rookie year? Coming in to a mess that Jake Plummer left? I didn't.. and I'm a Broncos fan. Did I really think Cutler would come in and actually advance the team to the playoffs?
And last year... what a great year to judge Cutler on what he did and what he can do.
He only missed his : #1 receiver in Javon Walker, his 2 top offensive linemen in Ben Hamilton and Tom Nalen, one of the worst running attacks in Mike Shanahan's tenure, oh and a defense that could actually stop the run and TRY to hold a lead.
It still doesn't change his W/L record, but it does change the fact that he played pretty dayum good with what he was given while NOT 'screwing' his team.
Broncos were in position to make the playoffs with Plummer. Cutler came in and they missed the playoffs.
Like I said, Jay Cutler's entire history suggests he's a loser and a poor leader. All the talent in the world can't change that.
They were 7-4 with a crap offense that couldn't put numbers on the board.
Sure they were in the playoffs... but scoring 17 ppg, do you REALLY think he would've have lead them to the playoffs? Especially... with the way Jake was playing??

Look at that 2006 season... pretty amazing.. He was totally winning games himself.
It's a shame that the defense couldn't help Cutler, like they helped Plummer.
But please, comment about the points I pointed out about last year.. and tell me again that Jay Cutler is holding the Broncos back.
Nobody is saying Jake Plummer was a great QB, and his numbers certainly don't look pretty. But what can't be denied is that he has a winner's mentality. He was a winner at Arizona State, he took the Cardinals to their only playoff appearance in forever, and he took the Broncos to the AFC Championship Game.
All Cutler has done is lose everywhere he's been. If you don't think the at ude & makeup of the QB trickles down to the rest of the team, you don't know football.
One guy put up horrible numbers his whole career but won 4 SB's - Terry Bradshaw. One guy put up the prettiest numbers in QB history and didn't win - Dan Marino. One was a winner and one was a loser. You can argue till you're blue in the face about how Bradshaw had better teams, Marino was still a better QB and wasn't holding his team back, and on and on and on, but in the end one QB was a winner and the other was a loser. End of story.
Hey, Jake Plummer took out the big bad Patriots and stopped them from three-peating. That's a lot more than Cutler has done.
Okay yes yes... Cutler really is a loser from college and to early in his NFL career...
But I still wouldn't judge his past W/L records to what he will be able to do on a team that is built up around him.
Sadly, the Denver Broncos of last year, were not built very well.
Cutler played that well with such a crappy team, I can't wait to see what he does next year..
