I think he's gonna be offered much more though. Maybe 3/4 of the MLE from a desperate team.

He's better than Najera and worse than Bonner.

I wouldn't want him on my team if he came for free.

Nachbar is a wing, not a four.

I think he's a sleeper pick as the solution the Spurs go with. He can shoot and score ... and even rebound a little bit. He might come relatively cheap. And best of all, he might be the one player who stood up to Karl Malone and put that in his place. I'm forever a Nachbar fan after he owned Malone.

My worry about him is I've seen him miss about 25 game winners in his career.

Yeah, wouldn't fit the mold of a player to take the heat off Ginobili for 30 or so games during the regular season.

Which is why he's worse than Bonner.

There's a reason teams want big men who can shoot. There's a reason teams can afford to be more selective when it comes to wings who can shoot.

There are a hundred players in the NBA and probably several dozen outside of it who can do everything Boki Nachbar can, better, without being a huge liability in every other aspect of the game.

Pros: Good jumper; can also drive to the basket and score with authority

Cons: He doesn't play defense and he's a black-hole on the offensive end...think a more explosive version of Hedo.

    This is impossible.

I don't think he would fit with the Spurs. Unless they teach him to play good defense. And I doubt he'd want to go to the Spurs, someone else will probably offer more money and playing time.

Too slow for NBA as SF. Unless he play PF in small ball game but I don't think so.

Boki on the Rockets. Bench. Played limited minutes.

Boki on the Nets. Started or came off bench. Scored a lot of points but inconsistant up and down. Good slasher and decent 3 pt shooter.

Rudy just didn't give Boki a chance while he was with Rockets. Rudy played Yao because he had to, otherwise he never trusted young players.

I don't think, that he would be compatible with Pop, he would be in Pop's doghouse by December. Said that, he may be great fit, if Pop decides to play more small ball in following seasons - depends on the C situation.
Inconsistency is his biggest problem: Boki can play like a star in one game and as scrub in another.

He had a fierce stretch when RJ was out iirc

That and I remember he was dunking all over everybody as well, youtube that... I was like really Boki Nachbar?

But yeah I don't mind this at all, decent slasher, can shoot the ball. Probably starter quality for most teams just stuck behind Carter/RJ.

Good backup guy, if we can't get Azubuike or Smith.

I say get him, if we can get him for cheap.

That said, i think he is way better than bonner, same 3pt ability, better slasher/dunker/passer, more athletic too.
Probably wont be good fit for spurs, because he doesn't have great bb iq and he plays poor defense.
