Well, I don't know who to pick. I can exclude four people up front as to posting what I believe is their solid belief rather than propaganda:

    Yoni
    XRay
    Aggie
    Myself.

I cannot say the other two don't interject propaganda, but I cannot think of a time I thought so either.

Propaganda is a concerted set of messages aimed at influencing the opinions or behaviors of large numbers of people. As opposed to impartially providing information, propaganda in its most basic sense presents information in order to influence its audience. Propaganda often presents facts selectively (thus lying by omission) to encourage a particular synthesis, or gives loaded messages in order to produce an emotional rather than rational response to the information presented. The desired result is a change of the cognitive narrative of the subject in the target audience to further a political agenda.

Propaganda is the deliberate, systematic attempt to shape perceptions, manipulate cognitions, and direct behavior to achieve a response that furthers the desired intent of the propagandist.

—Garth S. Jowett and Victoria O'Donnell, Propaganda and Persuasion

You cherry pick your stupid all the time. Lying by omission is your stock and trade, and that you pretend you aren't doing "propaganda" here is about as credible as Ann Coulter.

XRay is just an impressionable old man who has picked a side and will buy anything his side tells him to believe.

Clandestino and Whottt just push people's buttons.

AHF is a pretty passionate conservative, but his beliefs are sincere and I don't think he would toe the party line on everything. I'm less confident in the sincerity of Wild Cobra's posts, but he plays the role well.

Yonivore is a clever, intelligent liar.

I believe you just described yourself. One thing you left out, a propagandist believes the more times they say something the more effective they will be. For example, the way you flood threads.

What omissions? I cover why things are wrong. What do I omit?

Consider the "concerted" part of propaganda:

to concert (third-person singular simple present concerts, present participle concerting, simple past and past participle concerted)

    1. To plan together; to settle or adjust by conference, agreement, or consultation.
    2. To plan; to devise; to arrange.
    3. To act in harmony or conjunction; to form combined plans.
I don't feel my actions fall under engaging in propaganda. I say what I believe. You constantly misread the meaning of something and rearrange the words to suit your purpose, like ozone = smog! I speak as factually and pointed as I can. I make mistakes at times, maybe often. I don't intentionally use words wrong.

My choice as a conservative was spawned over
many years of experience. Impressionable, I'm
not. Many would argue with you about the
he will believe what he is told to believe.

I will ask you one question. Rush brought it up.
How come we need more social programs when
LBJ solved all the social programs in the 60's.
Does that mean he was a failure? Remember
butter and guns. Except the guns went and the
    butter stayed.

Believe it or not I think a lot of successful women, I call them man-suit wearers, listen to Rush and Hannity and buy into the rah, rah, were-winning-the-war-and-anyone-who-wants-us-to-leave-is-a-appeaser bull ...

Really, the Dubya administration has moved the Iraq goalpost of often, from finding and destroying Iraq's WMD program, to defeating Al-Queda, to stopping the Civil war, to the first free Iraq election, to helping the Iraq army stand up before we stand down...to the latest lame excuse...if we leave now we will be desecrating the memory of the soldiers who have already died...it's impossible to tell when victory will be, if ever achieved....but I suspect that with 60-70 U.S. bases going up in Iraq it will be never, especially if McCain gets elected....

Okay, all you good dimms who seemed to find my post
humorous about listening to Rush, how come you didn't
answer the question. Cat got you tongue?

One other question: 19 million listeners. How many
does any of your oft quoted commentators have? Hmmm.
Especially dan's. And how many hire an independent
agency to check their accuracy? Hmmmm.

Actually those social programs did exactly what they were supposed to do.

Food stamps kept people from starving, and welfare kept the desperately poor from being homeless.

They were never meant to "solve" poverty, merely alleviate the symptoms.

DQ, although I don't agree with him on a lot of things, has never really tried to pass off his opinions as "facts" indesputable, nor does he post any op-ed pieces as the unvarnished end-all of truth.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I don't have any commentators, oft-quoted or not. I like to... you know... form my own opinions.
