Where did you get those figures? Teachers in Texas make a good 40k+ a year, at least in San Antonio.

So you're looking at 16k in state if you board and I'm sure this is an older figure. Not counting books, gas, expenses blah blah blah. At 8 bucks an hour for 52 weeks working 20 hours a week your take home is about 7k for the year.
I consider $100K to be upper income. I'm nowhere near that but I consider myself to be just fine because I live within our means. I know people who make over 100K and are struggling with their mortgage payments. They brought a huge house in a very nice neighborhood and now are struggling. So making big money doesn't mean you can live like big money. That is why I get pissed off about the mortgage crisis when people bought homes they couldn't afford and now and paying the price.
But I agree that education is the key in today's world.
Are you just angry because your father is a "richer" and he won't hook you up with some dough. Or maybe you're regretting not taking any of his money. Just asking.

I collect food stamps and healthcare for my son. I pay 20% of my income to taxes and a SS fund I will never ever see so that money can be used by some lazy no working asshole with a fake injury.
Since my wife is unemployeed she still qualifies even with me as a provider for our son. About 20 or so days ago I provided full W2's and current pay stubs and we still qualified for 335 dollars in food stamps. I'm sorry you're too lazy to go and ask for it but its free. So if you have a problem take it up with your legal system because I'm currently collecting the loanstar card and healthcare for my son for free...legally.
My undergrad degree was in accounting and I made far less than the figure above when I got out of college. Fortunately I found jobs that paid for my MBA and now I make good money. It can be done. I agree that it's more difficult today, but it still can be done.
No I don't want his money and no he hasn't offered. I'm not angry at richers either none of thread is about me being angry at rich people, I just don't like arrogant pricks who flaunt. I decided a long time ago that I didn't want to associate with my father for my own reasons and it didn't have anything to do with money. I wanted to be my own man and on my own.

You aren't your "own man" when you are claiming your wife and kids as dependents on your 50K+ income and then having her fraudulently apply for unemployment, welfare and food stamps while working a cash job that you don't pay taxes on. You are a THIEF who is STEALING from the rest of us.
Are you ing re ed, that was awile ago and that post thats linked doesn't reflect my current situation. She doesn't collect unemployment from anyone and never has, we've never recieved any kind of checks or aide just the stamps and WIC. I provided my current pay stub and last years W2 when we renewed because she's now working 15 hours a week at a pay job(not cash its taxable) so I wasn't sure if it was a problem or not.
Guess what asshole....it wasn't. She qualified due to the low income and my son qualified for the healthcare. Sorry you don't like it but its perfectly legal. You can no longer at me for the shortcomings of the system.
