    The car still has a metal space frame. Think of it like an Ariel Atom covered in cloth.
    Hmm.

    Well I wonder if the end result will have different cloths you can purchase.

    Monday- Red
    Tuesday- Black
    Wednesday- White
    Thursday- Silver

    etc etc. That would be neat imo.

    Point taken. And it seems it would be safer and get better gas mileage considering less weight. Then again the safety issue is a concern for such a light weight car. It would fold like a paper towel in a high speed wreck.
    That's really not much different than the number of cars that use fiberglass already. The strength and safety of a vehicle is in its frame, not its skin.

    That's really not much different than the number of cars that use fiberglass already. The strength and safety of a vehicle is in its frame, not its skin.
    Yes, I know all of this. But I made the mistake assuming the cloth was just cloth over a light weight body.
