Why do any of you give a ..
I kill pigs at the ranch just because they scare off my deer... which I also kill...
What do you think would have happend to them if they had "rescued" them?
Umm... they would be killed...
I know. I even thought about clarifying it with an "& arachnids" clause, but I figured people would understand.

Ask most any rancher or farmer what kind of damage pigs do to thier land.

Im now in bad mood because of that video. I eat meat, I come from a family of hunters, I have made a kill myself (I didnt like the death throws, call me a pussy).
I understand these things. But end their life as humanely as possible!!
Its simple. I understand bullets cost money. So dont use bullets. They make a pneumatic "punch" that you can prod the cattle into a similar mechanism shown in that video. Its a long e on a hydraulic press. The animal is secured, and the e fires. It doesnt live, it doesnt kick, it doesnt bleed to death or get thrown out of a mechanism and start squirming around, hooting and hollering and generally falling all over its dying self.
It just dies. Like a bullet to the brain, only it doesnt miss. Alive one second, dead before you can blink.
I seriously think some people get a kick out of like that.
I want my meat, I like preparing and eating meat. But to pretend that we as a society cant engineer "death instantaneous" for our livestock is...disturbing at best, cruel and sickening at worst.
What does it say about our people when the next video is BY FAR more humane and its done by 3 guys in some street of some 3rd world country? They cut the throat, and hold it still. It isnt instant, but they cut it, it bleeds while holding it down, and it passes out and dies.
Im pissed. Ill get over it.

That was thousands of times more humane than the previous post. Orders of magnitude beyond the first video.
One time I had a perfectly good headshot on a deer and the er moved right before I pulled the trigger, so I ended up shooting it through the heart and watching it flounder around for a few minutes before it died. Mostly I was pissed because the heart meat was wasted.
