Man would be sweet to get any of those guys in 2010... but don't see it happening really... getting Lebron would be the bomb.... he would still have "franchise" written all over him. As long as the Spurs have the right players in place to lure him here... besides an old TD and Manu and if Parker stays.
Lebron dreams every night about playing alongside a PG like Tony Parker who can score at will and collapses defenses. He'd be a better fit for LeBron than CP3, IMO (not that he would complain about CP3) because Tony is more of a scoring guard than a passing guard, he always goes for the rim when he drives - this would open up the floor for James. Plus, Lebron has openly admitted that he likes the Spurs and Popovich and he and TD seem to like each other after the Finals last year (mutual respect.) After consecutive seasons of disappointments I think he'd be willing to take his lumps from Pop in exchange for not having to run the 1-4 offense for 48 minutes.
Not to bash Delonte, he was a step up this year and made some crucial defensive stops against Boston.
Still, pipe dreams. In-clubs like Wallace-West and McHale-Ainge and reform-hater DStern have taught us not to speculate on anything further than a week away in this league.

Melo has a contract till 2012, the target is Lebron , we will be well under the Salary Cap and we will be able to offer Lebron the max

Lebron would be a fool to pick Parker over CP3. CP3 is a more complete PG than Parker. CP3 has the refs eating out of the palm of his hand. CP3 will give Lebron all the shots he wants, while at the same time, still contributing on the scoreboard.
However, Lebron will not go to NO and he will not go to SA.....he is going to go to NY. He will be a Knick, where his ego and his face can be everywhere. He will go to NY and never, ever win a ring.....but end up getting hundreds of millions in salary and endorsements.

Are you sure? This is the same Lebron that said his goal in life was to "be the richest man in the world."
CP3 may be a more complete guard but I still say Tony is a better fit for him because he is a guard who has been groomed to play with a bunch of All Stars. It's Tim, Manu, and coaching that seal the deal. He would be no fool to choose Parker over Chris Paul given our consistent winning tradition (best in sports in the modern era) and our roster. Talent drops off after Paul on NOLA with inconsistent post player West being their only other option who can do more than catch lobs or spot up. TP also proved he can match Paul in output in a 7 game series. Paul avgs only 2.3 more PPG in the reg season. Considering Tony has two other guys who also avg 20 a game and still manages to get his numbers I'd say he compares with Paul quite favorably, assists are the only big discrepancy (5 more a game for Paul) but I addressed that in the last post. I didn't say James wouldn't get his shots on the Hornets, I'm saying Tony's game matches up better with Lebron's given what I said in this post (which I thought was implicit) and in the last post.
Can Lebron get over his Jordan-philia? It would be lame for him to go to another team with no chance of making the playoffs without him (like the Knicks) all so he can take them to the ring all by himself and stroke his ego. I admit it is possible though.
I think Bosh is the best bet. He was raised in Texas, and I think his parents still live there. He could be to Duncan what Duncan was to Robinson.
I don't see LeBron considering a small media market like San Antonio. I could be wrong, but he seems to want the big time media coverage of a Los Angeles, Chicago, or New York.
Lebron will not go to SA. That boy dreams of fame and money, success is only second to him coz he can always get it and a championship will always be there.
If the Spurs are going to spend, I still think they're gonna go for a big to anchor the paint.

Lebron could surprise us..i wouldn't count him out, though yeah, it'd be a wiser business move to play for a large market city, also he does have a pretty flashy lifestyle.....
but if he loves the game, NBA history and respects the Spurs way of doing things, it's not impossible for him to consider realistically playing alongside Timmy, Tony and Manu. The pluses for him would be longetivity , a well managed ship under, the potential to succeed Timmy and take over the reins of a dynasty for the next decade..Man, if Lebron knows what's good for him it isn't winning one ship, (a player of his calibre under a ty franchise can score a one and done , a la Wade, and never sniff it again if his management isn't up to scratch) ...winning multiple ones require the good fortune of what Timmy has, so if Lebron's priorities are straight, he should recognize that great opportunity of waits for him at the Spurs Club....and if Timmy wins in 2009?? 5 rings in a decade..thatd' be a sweet bargaining chip for us...

Bosh would be perfect. He's a bit more of a jump shooter ala KG which would finally free up TD to destroy C's and PF's. Teams have smartened up a bit in that past few years and have doubled TD knowing that guys like Rasho and Ellison couldn't hurt them all that much.
I like Bosh's game too, more of a true PF with alito SF splashed into him. Him and TD, whhhhhoooooooo!!! It gets me all warm inside, haha. I wouldn't doubt that's who the spurs are lookin at, but the raptors r improvin and have a young roster that resides in the east, which we all know is a much easier route to get to the championship than the west. That bein said TD, Bosh, Manu and TP9. that's one of a deadly startin 4 with a supportin cast member to fill in the 5th slot
so it's either Lebron or Bosh in the Summer of 2010
