if Ibaka is available, an additional 1st round pick is a very good bet. 1st round pick is a very good way to lock in a player with potential at low salary. You draft him, bring him in and send to D-League to train him. That's the purpose of buying D-league team!

Lowry has already shown that he can play in the nba--there's really no risk there at all. He'd give more minutes backing up Parker than a Darius Washington-type of player and, because of his D, could actually be paired for limited minutes in a smallball backcourt alongside Parker. Common sense might say it's unlikely, but common sense said the same thing after the Pau Gasol trade...
Hopefully the Spurs can use their Beno trade exception for another 1st round pick.
