I really don't think I get that many breaks from the officials, and not just because I'm a rookie. I'm used to not getting calls. When I started playing I never got them because I was bigger and stronger than the other kids. I never worried about it. But I have always hated the inconsistency. If I've got four guys hammering at me and no foul is called, then fine. I can take it. But if I touch a guy at the other end and that guy does a Marlon Brando acting job and they call a foul, then that's being inconsistent.

Every year around Academy Award time in March or April, the league should hold its own awards show and give out prizes. We could call the awards the Laimbeers. "Ladies and gentleman(sic), the Laimbeer for best flop in the fourth period goes to..." And you could give out Best Supporting Flopper, Best Foreign Flopper, a lot of different things. Make it a black-tie affair. Get a corporate sponsor, like a tuna fish company maybe.
