Why? Seriously Tony Parker is the most inconsistent player in the league. So what if he won finals mvp that don't mean . Tony does not make the right desicions. He has no jump shot. The lane is not always open. This would be a good trade.

I think he has been more the beneficiary of players around him having to be accounted for. I'm not saying Parker isn't a nice player and I appreciate what he has done to help this team win les but I just don't see him being able to carry this team once he is the lone superstar. I think Beasley has the potential to be able to that. If you are only seeing the year in front of you though, then I guess keeping Parker and passing up future franchise players is your best move...

My point was never about Parker alone.
You're advocating trading one of the three major pieces of the Spurs' championship core for a player who may or may not develop into a franchise player, and who may or may not even stay a Spur for long.
The championship window is open now. The Spurs may never again be as close to winning more les as they are for the next year or so. Losing one of the Big 3 and waiting for Beasley to start contributing on the level Parker already does means you're closing that window of opportunity for the chance to open it once Duncan and Ginobili are in full decline. And that still depends on whether Beasley stays and develops, and how much help you're going to get him if he does.
Screw 'compe ive'. les do more to define a team's legacy rather than number of consecutive seasons in the playoffs.
