I wouldn't call Bogut a bust just yet. Numbers wise he's gotten better every season.
Bogut isn't a bust.
14/10/2.5/2 is good numbers for C in this league... and if you look at his post all star numbers then you get 16/12/3/2 which is better than all but 3 or so legit C's in the league.
Bogut seems to be over shadowed by cp3,williams and bynum, but he is a very solid player.
Considering Derrick Coleman a Fail when he's had a better statistical career overall than Kenyon Martin (whom you didn't consider a Fail) makes me.
Manning wasn't a fail either.
Coleman and Manning didn't fail as much as Kenyon Martin.. don't mix highlight dunks with success.

It can be argued that their performance did not match the expectations from them that warranted the first overall pick, but in no way can they be considered 'busts' on the level of Kwame or Kandi either.
Bogut definitely isn't a fail, and IMO neither is Joe Smith. He never lived up to his tremendous potential, and got involved in a few stupid things, but overall he's been a solid role player for every team he's played for. Not worthy of the #1 pick but not a failure.
Kwame Brown and Olowakandi are the only true failures on that list.
oh Man, I forgot, K-Mart was a #1 pick??? Hard to believe it now.

If Derrick Coleman is a fail, so are Ralph Sampson and Brad Daugherty. For DC's first 7-8 seasons, he was a 20 and 10 type of guy. Injuries hurt Sampson's and Daugherties careers. For DC, it was crack cocaine. But, DC still had a decent start to his career.
As for Kenyon Martin, I actually agree that he wasn't a fail, but it's not because of his putrid career. It's because the 2000 draft was probably the worst in the history of the NBA draft and no one was really better than K-Mart from that class.
Hedo Turkoglu was probably the best player from that draft's first round. And, Michael Redd might be the best player from that class and he was a second round pick. That draft class was horrible, included high picks like Marcus Fizer, Stromile Swift, Chris Mihm, and Darius Miles.

I don't think you can argue that Bargnani and Bogut are failures just yet. their careers are way too young to tell, although I haven't seen many promising signs that they will be stars.
This thread is a big Fail.
Bogut is a good player to me, Bargnani is on his way to becoming a fail but he's still young though, there is no way Joe smith is a fail imo, he's a solid player.
