Eh, why the not? Now the league thinks the Spurs are ready to punt on this draft and they might not be picking there at #26.
So thats seriously the first time a team has shopped a pick? Spurs should have taken out ads in the paper imo.
Chingada madre.
This better not be true.
Better to get something than to end up with a Marcus Williams on a guaranteed contract...
Is this the FO equivalent of flopping?
If they really don't feel goodabout anyone they should just take Hendrix.
Basically.
$3 mil? How many CATS would Holt have to move to make that?
And then when a team calls to inquire Tony Parker answers the phone speaking only French...
What could we get? Turiaf, Thabo,...
If the Spurs punt on a draft that has several hidden gems I'm going to be pretty disappointed.
It appears no opposing GM wants to play with R.C. and Pop anymore.
After recent news of RC attending night class at FlopU, class Falling not FAILing 101 by professor Manu, I would say...
Yes.
Spurs are just screwing with the league and the media, that's all.
It could also mean they are trying to trade up and would include the 26th pick. I hope it's not true, this draft has depth and we aren't going to be a lottery team for a long time so we need to just make a pick because there has got to be someone available that can help us.
What about Matt Bonner the #26 to the Bulls for Tyrus Thomas and Thabo
Probably, but unless they are a contender they would be stupid not to. Just look at some of the great deals team have gotten in the last few years by trading with the Spurs and/or signing Spurs castoffs.
Maybe RC's BFF, thorn, in nj will send us diop. If the money works...
Hopefully, he won't hit "reply to all". I don't want cuban to catch wind of this.
Yeah, if this is a punt, it's a poorly executed punt. The time to punt it was yesterday when teams were overpaying for picks. You punt now and teams would rather wait a couple hours to see what happens as the draft unfolds.
The pick behind their's got sold for $3M ... so the Spurs better at least get that out of a deal.
Or it's an admission that they didn't do their 'due diligence' and scout properly and because they couldn't get the two Kansas players they wanted, they're going to get out of the first round.
The Spurs would be all over that but no way the Bulls would do it.
Daryl Morey with the Houston Rockets: " o, may I speak with RC?"
Coach Pop picks up, taking phone out of RC's hand: "This is Pop."
Morey: "click" (dialtone)
Pop: " o?.... o?"
What about the #26 to the Nets for Sean Williams
And then Dennis Lindsey shrinks away . . .
