    It could also mean they are trying to trade up and would include the 26th pick. I hope it's not true, this draft has depth and we aren't going to be a lottery team for a long time so we need to just make a pick because there has got to be someone available that can help us.

    Probably, but unless they are a contender they would be stupid not to. Just look at some of the great deals team have gotten in the last few years by trading with the Spurs and/or signing Spurs castoffs.

    Yeah, if this is a punt, it's a poorly executed punt. The time to punt it was yesterday when teams were overpaying for picks. You punt now and teams would rather wait a couple hours to see what happens as the draft unfolds.

    The pick behind their's got sold for $3M ... so the Spurs better at least get that out of a deal.
