They are very crowded at the pf position with the trade that brought them Yi. That is not a lot of money, and the perfect contract size for a trade for a pick.
That would fill both teams needs nicely...

By the way, we can assume it's a smoke screen, but we can also assume front office effectively kind of messed up, it happens even to the best sometimes..

Not to say we don't arrange a trade with a team where we draft a player they want and then trade him.
This is quite stupid of RC. I've never heard of any team that has done this, but who knows. Maybe RC just started a new trend in the NBA on draft day.
