So you're blaming us for their draft choices? I'm not the one who passed over American talent...Arthur, Green, Chalmers, CDR...
Many of you have been asking for American players and now you got your wish.
A slow undersized shooting guard from small school USA who is going to play point in the NBA. Right.
A slug tweener with no hope of an NBA career and a post player who can jump but can be pushed around by the cyote.
I'd rather draft the Euro's.
Pop probably did it on purpose so we would stop complaining about the Euro's.
This is without a doubt the worse draft I've seen in the 20 years I've followed the team. Season tickets for me now hinges on what they will do in free agency. I'll always root for the Spurs but I won't throw money away for a product that is growing inferior due to a front office that has lost its way.

and the day George Hill drops 15 and 8 you'll be saying "I knew he would be good all along"Season tickets for me now hinges on what they will do in free agency. Adios then.
So at worst the Spurs may have selected the wrong rookie backup point guard.

the number of players better than Hill that they passed on with the #26 pick is ridiculous
lol pop drafted weak american players on purpose so spurs fans on spurs forums would stop whining.
Bandwagoner.
Yes. I'm sure Pop has trouble sleeping at night because of the criticism he suffers on these forums. It's a good thing he altered his draft strategy so that we could collectively learn to appreciate the Euros.![]()
The Spurs desperately need a real
a thugged out, ballin to the max, strip club goin, poppin bottle, dui, pot head, coke slagin balling ass
real ballers win les
the pretty boy, image fitting, conservative spurs
get some s that can play the ing game
Your ing re ed, he's not a shooting guard, he played point, at least ing read before you criticize the pick, . And im sure Pop and RC looked on here and made their decision. STFU already and think before you ing post!
Since the Spurs FO is apparently reading the forum....
Hi guys. Thanks for the championships. It was great!
Say what you will about managing the cap and international prospects while trying to maintain a championship roster, but the Spurs do know how to pick talent.
supposedly Hill is the best defensive PG in the draft, even better than Chalmers. If that is the case, I am all for the pick. If there was a way to get Hill at 45 and while drafting Greene at 26, I would have been all for that.
However, let's be honest. All we do is complain about Vaughn and Stoudamire. All we ever did was complain about Beno being soft, injury prone, and underachieving. So now we have a young defensive-minded PG, who isn't afraid to shoot the ball. As much as I would have preferred Donte Greene, I can live with the Hill pick.
I didnt like the dragic pick at all....but now that we traded him to PHX for Hairston, a future 2nd, and money......I am quite excited over the pick.
Hated the Gist pick.....definitely felt we could have done better with Daniels, Dove, Calathes, or Brumbaugh.
the spurs need a player who can bring much needed at ude and heart and street credit

Damn I hope PP has better taste than that
while rc runs this old ass mother ing team into the ground
there is only one shot at changing things right now and making this a team that can win it all again
the only hope is this man

the security guard escorting that head-case?
i dunno, he sorta looks under-sized and fat.
He didn't even win the Summit Conference championship. Chalmers won the National CHampionship.
Chalmers played terrible in that game. He hit the most memorable shot and had a nice point total, but he was playing pretty poorly up until that shot.
Something else to consider...RC no doubt talked to Self about all of the Kansas players. Maybe there was something he heard that turned him off to Chalmers.
