Ok then, this pick is great. Just what the draft doctor ordered.

Damn, nearly 14 hours and 20-plus posts of sustained ing?

You've clearly got SD21 beat in the emo department after all.

My other issue is that more value could have been squeezed out of the 26 pick if all they wanted was George Hill. There were teams, I'm sure, who would have wanted Arthur as their second choice, or a team like Detroit or Boston who hadn't picked yet. Can't you pick Arthur for Detroit, take Hill with their pick, and get something extra? Does this not occur to the Spurs FO?
They did that with #45. You are a bore.

He would have gotten picked by Boston at 30 if the Spurs didn't pick him
come on Kori no one can say that for sure, not even you. Nevertheless, the more I read and hear about this guy the more I really like him. According to his former coach, the kid is a star. Please let this be true.

Pop knows best...we clearly got the sleeper in the draft. Shame on every organization that didn't have Hill going much higher considering all the great workouts and camps he played in. GO SPURS GO!

I think Hill should have been picked ahead of Derrick Rose.

Whatever makes the masses happy here. I've come to the realization that anything anti FO is taken personally enough by certain members to warrant the "emo" tag. With as high as the sensitivity meter is for anything negative against the Spurs, why bother fighting a losing battle... GO SPURS GO!

Isn't bashing supposed emo behavior...just as emo? Or is it your obligation as a poster to attack it endlessly until it is gone?

    In either case...GO SPURS GO!

    FO criticism - not emo

Endless posts trashing a player and the FO - emo

Getting overly defensive about it - emo

Keeping it up for 14 hours straight - Energizer Bunny emo

Bashing someone's opinion of a FO decision - emo...Or is that just being a good poster?

Either way, your great opinions of Hill have totally swayed me. Nothing like a healthy dose of homerism to bring a fan to his senses...GO HILL GO!

As is yours...taking the time to respond to every negative thing said about a player because he was drafted by the Spurs...definitely emo.

But whatever, I am in your boat now. GO HILL GO!

I'm not the one who kept up the ing for 14 hours, acting like an attention-starved child.

Giving a promise to Hill, if they ever did, makes no sense. Was he pulling out of the draft or something?
He had another year of eligibility left. Early on in the draft process, most expected him to return for his final year. He ended up staying in. Was that due to a promise? Can't say for sure but it'd make sense.

If stating my opinion in threads that contain a topic I have an opinion about is a temper tantrum, than I guess I had it wrong all along. I should have just read and moved on because overposting is considered bad around these parts and god forbid your posts span a certain number of inexcusable hours. If I had said, "Hill is a good pick" in every thread about the draft, would that be a tantrum also? Either way... GO HILL GO!
