That starting lineup would certainly be intriguing:
PG: Hill
SG: Hairston
SF: Sanikidze
PF: Gist
C: Mahinmi
Draft's over........
Who we getting into the summer league teams? Any chance we get Keith Brumbaugh a shot at trying to earn a spot?
Will all three draft picks plus Viktor and Ian be there?
Bring it on!

I assume the three draft picks and Ian will be there.
At least a couple of Toros told me they would be there, so we might expect more.
I wonder if Sanikidze will be given another shot at the summer league.
Would be great to see him get another shot, i liked what I saw last year.
I'm looking forward to your takes from the games ChumpDumper.
Should be fun.
Have Kori and LJ decided where they are going?
I haven't seen a decision yet. Noel was part of it if I remember right.
Right, Noel is in Vegas, but they might see more games in Utah. I only saw three in person last summer, so I like the Vegas schedule.
Michael Cuffee who played with Bakersfield Jam will play for Spurs summer league.

Just a question.
Given the working relationship between the Spurs and Toros, do the Spurs have priority over other teams in selecting Toros players for the summer league?
If they choose Utah with you in Vegas SpursTalk gets more coverage.![]()
He's a good if unspectacular D-League player who scored a lot for the Utah Flash when Mo Almond was out before being traded to the basket case Jam. Won't get in the way of our summer league "stars."
I think it's all by invitation, so the players can take whichever offer they prefer. The Toros I talked to already had their invites before the D-League season ended.
Cool. Thanks.
Given the varied extremes in reactions on draft night, I'm sure a great many eyes will be tracking the progress of that summer league team.![]()
Anything will be better than watching Jackie Butler blow ten dunks and commit ten fouls.
I wouldn't quite say that.
Given the expectations of some for Mahinmi this upcoming season, if he ends up performing like Butler did, the SpursTalk meltdown is going to be like nothing anyone has ever seen.
What about Forbes and Calathes--any chance we offer one an invitation?
The Spurs are slow to move on these things and are sadly pat in their choices. I'd be surprised if they made a hard pitch at any undrafted guys, especially considering they used their 57.
We still don't know if we are going or not to Vegas/Salt Lake. I have some major writing deadlines and we are also supposed to go to New Mexico too. So, we are working it out.
Noel is playing for the Kings (to answer ChumpDumper's question about summer league in another thread).
There are a couple of guys that the Spurs looked at who remained undrafted. I like to see Calthes brought in to SL.
If our draft picks are any good, we'd just be selecting players to develop on the Toros for some other team -- but i can see some undrafted guys competing with our draftees. What the does this even mean? The Spurs are slow to move on these things and are sadly pat in their choices.
Spurs play every day from July 14-17 in Vegas
I just realised that i will be in vegas the 14th and 15th and it never cross my mind it would be the summer league.
