First let me say I'm not one of those fans who thinks my team can turn anyone into an all-star but he does do things well that we need from the center position. we could use him like the Hornets use Chandler 6"11 248lbs and someone who can actually go up and catch an alley. His hands are pure stone so we would have to deal with Mohammed v 2.0

putting all of Kwame's bust skills aside, he performed decently (or at least better than he ever had before) when he was with the Lakers. I think he's improved, and he already made his money and proved he wasn't worth that much. If the Spurs can get him in for cheap (LLE) I wouldn't mind. he's definitely an upgrade over Oberto, and I think we can use him in a Chandler-like role.

Rasho's aggressiveness, Nazr's hands, Butler's work ethic and Elson's head. Pass.

Better than Elson, better than Butler, better then Rasho(except that sweet midrange jumpshot), better than Nazr. , probably better than Oberto. I take that as a big thumbs up for someone who could be had for cheap.

Not saying he's some amazing player, and he's far from it, but for the price he could be decent. Some of you blow things way out of proportion when it comes to Kwame.

All the obvious jokes aside, Kwame would be a good value for the LLE. The discipline of San Antonio's system would be just what he needs. He'd give the same points & rebounds as Oberto for half the salary. And, ironically, he'd be 6 more fouls to give in games vs. Bynum/Gasol/Odom. He'll have the same numbers that Alexis Ajinca had last year in the French League.

All 4 of those guys have rings... in the real world. I understand, from a fantasy type of perspective that neither those 4 or Kwame will blow anyone away with their skills, but in the real dollars & cents world of the NBA, especially for a team as thrifty as the Spurs, Kwame at the LLE is reasonable.

we only need player at the center position who can play defense, grab boards, block shots and dunk....for mle is reasonable compared to what we paid for the other stiffs over the years...

might as well go out and sign javtokas LLE if we are that cheap

I know this opinion won't win popularity contests!

But Kwame as your 3rd string center for the LLE is OK. Name some other options....

Am i the only one that thinks he's a great devensive player??

Ive seen him defend TD about as good as anyone this past season. His size and quickness make him darn good defending on the pick and role and he holds his own down low. I think his rebounding is poor and whats stopping him from being a full time starter in this league. Maybe the Laker fans can explain him more to us?

We could do alot worse then splitting the MLE on him and a wing like Pietrus / Ricky Davis. In fact if that were possisible i would pull the trigger instead of taking a flier on Smith ....

Lets face it, we are counting on a 20 yr old rookie center to produce for us this season. Kwame is at worst great insurance if Mahinmi busts and Davis / Pietrus would give us an athletic wing player

That video explains it pretty well. He just stands there and stares at the play going down some times, not getting in defensive position, just watching.

no, but javtokas can do something oberto cant, and that is fukn jump 1cm off the fukn ground for a rebound or block shot attempt....dont question the shark tattoos on his arms, they are not for show or boasting street credentials, he is for real, have you seen flying sharks? flying sharks = end of mankind
