20/20 for me...
Could you pass the latest citizenship test?
In October 2008 a new version of the U.S. citizenship test will be taken by all applicants. Could you pass it? The questions are usually selected from a list of 100 samples that prospective citizens can look at ahead of the interview. Some are easy, some are not. We have picked some of the more difficult ones.
NOTES: Candidates are not given multiple choices in the naturalization interview. The following questions have been adapted from the immigration service’s sample questions.

85-100%: Welcome to the United States! (And, truth be told, you know more about this great land than most Americans.)
I agree.
I can't even get the page to come up. I must still be on that terrorist watch list.
they should get that girl who didnt know where america on the map is, to do this test hahahaha
They should get you into a writing course immediately for this site, hahahahaha
I got 85%.
I picked New Hampshire as not being one of the 13 original colonies.
I said there are 7 Supreme Court Justices.
I legitimately missed those two...
and the final one, I said Congress did not have the power to declare war...I knew that was the wrong answer, yet for some reason it seemed funny to pick that one and I couldn't resist doing so....pretty sure it has to do with the ST political forum.
I aced that mother er. I can still remember being one of only two people in a high school government class of about 30 people with a projected passing score. I think it'd be nice to force natural born citizens to take this and when they fail, deport them to somewhere for a week or so.
LOL the US would be empty.
Except for me and a few others. So much I could loot.
Answers are listed below... yadda yadda... don't read if you don't want the answers.
Good thing they didn't try to deport me, because I know math and realize 19/20 = 95 percent.Could you pass the latest citizenship test?
You answered 90% of questions correctly. Here's your rating:
0-20%: Maybe you're still thinking too much about the Old Country.
25-40%: Mmmm. Do you really want to be a citizen? This kind of performance isn't going to impress those nice immigration folks.
45-60%: Not too bad, but you really need to break out the civics books again -- word is, the INS is looking for an 80 percent score.
65-80%: Hey, you may make a good citizen yet! Look at your wrong answers and a little revision should do the trick.
85-100%: Welcome to the United States! (And, truth be told, you know more about this great land than most Americans.)

It was tempting to cheat and google stuff though...
I kick myself for confusing Susan B. with Betsy Ross...
There is no way you passed that . You prob took it at least 10 times until you got above 80. you prob failed it the second time even after they give you the answers.
The source of all knowledge...
Yup. I couldn't remember the precise number of Cons utional Amendments, and couldn't for the life of me recall who physically wrote the Cons ution.
In both cases, I had two reasonable options and picked wrong.![]()
There is a version with alternate questions which ATRAIN might do better on.
1) How many of your relatives can fit in a Chevy Cavalier?
2) How wide is the Rio Grande at its narrowest point?
3) What kind of tomatoes grow best in the South Texas climate?
4) How many inches high should grass be after mowing it?
5) How much Fabuloso should be diluted in a gallon of water?
