Would have been great if, as soon as Sheridan started laughing, ESPN announced that the Spurs agreed to sign Corey Maggette![]()
so where do you get them!? haha
I'm assuming you can't get swingman's for ALL players?
Again, you must be watching the WNBA playoffs since the Clippers didn't even play in the playoffs in 2007.
Opinion piece but it's from an Orlando writer.

Sure, the Magic would love to sign free agent shooting guard Corey Maggette and plug him into a lineup with Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson, Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu.
This would be terrific if the games were cut to 30 minutes and nobody would ever get injured.
The problem --- even if Maggette would take less and accept the midlevel exception (worth about $6 mill per) --- is that the Magic would have one of the weakest benches in the league.
Because if Maggette would be so generous, the only way the Magic could sign more players and not creep into the punitive luxury tax is offer them the league minimum. You'd have maybe four or five players making the $1.5 million to $1.8 million minimum.
Do you know what you get for that these days?
They have just 10 players under contract now --- two are Marcin Gortat and James Augustine --- and are scraping to find bargains to fill out the roster. It's why GM Otis Smith wants to split the midlevel between two players. He needs depth.
If he can get Keyon Dooling and Chris Duhon with it, he'd be happy. Call it a great offseason. Heck, maybe it's either Dooling or Duhon and a shooting guard.
Speaking of shooting guard, I'm not sure where Smith is going to find a shooting guard any better than Mo Evans out there.
I'm not even sure, with Keith Bogans, JJ Re and rookie Courtney Lee, why the Magic are going after one without dealing somebody.
espn is only reliable because they have money, their analyst are jokes.
I get customized authentics.
A little pricier, than the swingman, but worth it.
Ugh
Im talking about how the Warriors guarded the Mavericks!!!
Perfect reaction?
"Well son of a "
So the Magic are not interested as much?
Looks like that way.

About the one thing I'm good for![]()
There's not many teams, there's three, and all have other priorities it appears.
i think the article makes a great point, if the magics want a super starting lineup with no bench, they'll do this, but if they want an actual team they should really refrain.
im having a hard time deciding which route though, cause they did sign lewis to that ridiculous contract, and hedo will end to be resigned soon too.
Yeah seems like the Magic have other priorities.
Reading that article, I can see them being a suitor for one Kurt Thomas unfortunately. They tried trading for him
Yeah, Hedo's contract has got to be at an end here..
Wouldn't Kurt also be bringing in near MLE type contract as well?
Close to, if not all of it, yeah.
We talked about a nice resigning of him being at 2 years 10 12 million.
Thats the MLE right there.
Yeah, so wouldn't that repel the Magic's interest in him?
Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't Maggette become the starter a shooting guard? That allows Pop to sub Manu based on strategy not that the #2 needs off the court in 4 minutes. If not Maggette[or whomever we sign] who would start at shooting guard?
