Basically this is a column about Lebron longing to go to NY particularly if the Cavs don't appear to have a shot at winning it all.
Should Ferry go ahead and wave the white flag and try and get a package for Lebron?No executive in sports has more pressure on them than Danny Ferry. A lot of coaches and general managers can get fired. A lot of them can fail to live up to expectations.
Only Ferry can fumble away the franchise and crush the city. If James throws up his hands in two years and heads off to the greener pastures of New York’s concrete jungle,

first of all it's lebron james, and you don't trade lebron james
second of all the cavs were the team that came closest to beating the celtics, if pj brown didn't pull a few miracle plays out of his ass in game 7 then Cleveland would have won the championship
Trade Lebron? For who exactly? You are never going to get equal value back for him. And he would probably go down as the worst GM ever for trading away a 23 year old Lebron James.
The city of Cleveland may just persecute the guy.

Somehow, Cleveland needs to get one more key player, even if it means trading everyone but LeBron. Then, find some scrubs cheap and hope for the best. Maybe if LeBron were injured and the Cavs missed the playoffs, the lottery would be good to them.

i think they should just continue throwing out the MLE to help around lebron b4 he bolts....
if the team aint spending, then you have to trade bron to get the most out of it back
when bron is a FA expect him to sign with the nets, reason being? FOLLOW THE MONEY, YI JIAN LIAN is on the NETS....expect bron to have more money from china even if his on a ty contract from the nets

His goal should be to figure out a way to build a better team around Lebron, not trade the guy. If he had a better team around him, maybe his decision to possibly go to Brooklyn in a couple years wouldn't be so easy.
He doesn't even have 1/2 of an all star caliber player around him, yet he still managed to take that Cavs team to the Finals and then took the eventual champs to 7 games the next year. Imagine if he had just quality player next to him.
