Crumpets jumps off the page to me.
My in-laws are celebrating their 35th anniversary this month and I thought that I would take them to a nice brunch one weekend in July. My wife and I have been to brunch at Las Canarias at La Mansion Hotel and at the St. Anthony. We enjoyed both, but I would like some other options.
In a prior thread someone mentioned Guenther House, but I don't think they serve a brunch anymore, just a regular breakfast.
Any suggestions?

Take them to Ihop at around 11am.
I would definitely second the recommendation for Guenther House in the heart of downtown SA. Once the home of the Pioneer Flour company's founding family, its now a restaurant and museum and offers a great breakfast/lunch experience. When we went, we ate out on the garden patio and the environment was pleasant. Plus the food is all freshly made using Pioneer ingredients fresh out of the mill, and was all delicious. I had the strawberry waffles and one of the pastries, and can also confirm that the biscuits and gravy were badass. Prices are actually on the decent side as well.
As far as brunch experiences go, it's one of the best I've had, so it might be up your alley. I'd be really surprised if they didn't do it anymore.

Yeah. That would save me some money.
The Hyatt Hill Country Resort has a brunch.
take them to mcdonalds and get them a happy meal, get it over and done with
I second that and using that as a lead, look into all hotels for brunches. La Mansion has the best (not Las Canarias, but the one in the ballroom) and I was really impressed by the Emily Morgan as well on Sundays.
