cant wait for our summer leagues.
Looks like there will be some very, very good tests for Mahinmi and Hill.
So where the is our roster for Summer League? Nothing on the website about SL at all.
http://www.thesouthern.com/articles/...s/25026076.txt
So far Spurs SL roster is :Jamaal Tatum has another shot at the NBA.
The former Southern Illinois University guard has been invited to try out for the San Antonio Spurs' summer league team, Tatum said Sunday. Tatum, 23, leaves Wednesday for San Antonio to practice with the Spurs. He hopes to land one of two spots open on the Spurs' roster for a point guard. The Spurs will then take their squad to the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas later this month
George Hill
Malik Hairston
James Gist
Ian Mahinmi
Viktor Sanikidze
Michael Cuffee
Darius Rice
Robert Hite
Jamal Tatum
Add to that some Toros' players and you have a quite interesting roster, way better than in previous years.
Bruno, are you sure Sanikidze will be there?
In a interview made in February, Sanikidze said "I am very focused on NBA Summer League for San Antonio Spurs".
So I'm not 100% sure he will play but it really looks like he will play.
Last summer, Viktor came in to Las Vegas only planning to play that week (no RMR in Utah) and then return to his NT in the Republic of Georgia. It wasn't a full summer league commitment on his part. He didn't seem very engaged in the huddles during timeouts early-on. Don Newman didn't play him that much. He had a DNP the first game in Vegas, 8 minutes the next, DNP the next and some minutes here and there over the next few games until he sprained his ankle.
It would be nice to see him come in "very focused" this time. Hopefully, he will and hopefully he will get more involved in the offense instead of making one cut and then moving to one of a couple of spots on the perimeter.
Georgian NT will only start on August 1st this year. Sanikidze should be able to play all Spurs' SL games.
Darius Rice is going to dominate the summer league. Just watch.
beasley was sure impressive for his ifirst summer league game.
Darius Washington is on the Bucks' SL roster.
And Chris Bosh's brother will be on the Raptors' SL roster.
for us letting him go... maybe Hill pans out in a dream case scenario but i think he got what it takes to be a Spur...
Jason Terry's brother on the Mavs SL team too
yard birds...
Clapton, Beck and Page were yardbirds. That went well.
