Major Applewhite....this was like asking Danny White or Quincy Carter to a Cowboys fan.

IMHO, Major would have led UT to the National Championship game his senior season, if not for Brown benching him for Simms. Major time and again had to come off the bench and save Pretty Boy's ass......unfortunately against Colorado, it was too little too late.

This was the worst decision Mack Brown ever made as a coach. His second worst was allowing Greg Davis to keep his job after all this time.

There had to be politics between Brown and Phil Simms for Major to get benched the way he did. Promises where made and had to be kept. Though if I could have put Major's brain into Chris's body........
