There was a one-on-one streetball style tournament a couple of years ago on MTV, does anyone know if Sy is the French kid that won it?

    IIRC it was called "Battlegrounds."
    Yes, it was him.

He played last year in Greece and had a good season but I doubt he has a NBA level.

    17 players ?
Even if Spurs will play 8 games in 9 days, that's a lot.
Theres isn't "big names" in this roster. I wonder if it's because Spurs struggle to attract these players in their SL team or if it's because they want that Mahinmi and Spurs' drafted players are their SL teams main weapons.

No Sanikidze is quite a surprise. I hope for him that he isn't again injured.
Summer league teams usually have 17-20 players on them (at least when they start mini-camp before the games). But usually about 15 of them end up playing.

Maric is an interesting prospect. He can shoot and is pretty scrappy on the boards and on D.

Bummed to not see Viktor on the roster.

Good. Don Newman needs to stay as far away as possible.

Didn't Hill mention that Maric was a part of the workout that he participated in with the Spurs?

Other than Maric, it looks pretty thin on the frontline. I guess they'll be looking for Mahinmi to step up bigtime in this setting. Here's hoping he doesn't disappoint

    Can't foul out, so I don't see a problem.

So no Sy and no Maric but Anthony "Faqua". Damn, I was looking forward to Sy and Maric. "Faqua" (or spelled correctly Fuqua) is a borderline D-League player.

Oh well, hopefully more time for other players.

    P.S.

@ Newman not being on the coaching staff. Very cool to see the D-League coaches on the staff plus Wells and Forcier. Pack always played hard as a player, could perhaps make a good coach one day. Patrick Spurgin? Who dat?

So much for the Saniskidze fans bubble. Let's just write him off.
