iPhone Software Update?

Apple's servers must be getting crushed. I woke up and my iPhone was loading the update and has spent the better part of 30 minutes trying to access iTunes to reactivate the phone.

Anyone else seeing long access times?

I finally got it to download and it updated and all, but now the iPhone wants to connect to the iTunes store and keeps timing out.

Meanwhile, my phone is in emergency mode only right now.

Happening to everyone. I just got my phone to Synch after 3 hours of trying. So if you haven't downloaded the new software or activated the 3G yet, I would wait.

It was available yesterday - you could've beat the rush on it.

The update that leaked out yesterday wasn't ready for full release, and was ing iPhones left and right. It worked sometimes, but with varied results.

I guess some people just have to open their presents on Christmas Eve.

it was a pre-release intended for iPhone 3Gs only.
