This doesn't look isolated at all anymore, if those phone records are correct. Calling other referees less than one minute before you call your bookie?
The new information may call into question insistent claims by NBA Commissioner David Stern that Donaghy was a “rogue, isolated criminal” acting on his own, without the cooperation of any other referees or league officials.
Donaghy might logically communicate with other referees he was officiating with, and there are many such calls in Donaghy’s records. But Donaghy and Foster did not referee a single game together during the 2006-2007 season.
The players should call their own fouls or the NBA should look into creating robots as refs that are programmed to look for fouls, traveling, 3's etc...

just call the game by the book. stop bending the rules in favor of star players and big market teams.
the NBA has been fixed for years sons. maybe not EVERY game, but when it comes down to the playoffs, the NBA and TV networks will do everything in their power to help push bigger market teams to the finals for ratings. it may not work every time, but they do everything in their power to make it happen ... *cough* Celtics vs Lakers *cough*
At this point, this is really a good idea.
