    I think it's his 1st 3 - hence the "finally".

i don't quite get the first game jitters excuse.

Memphis is on it's 4th game in 4 nights. Only 8 of their guys have played all 4 games.

fatigue vs. jitters . . . shouldn't fatigue be making the Grizzlies players look worse against a fresh Spurs team?

Hehe, about Hill drawing the contact... I wasn't very clear what I meant. I meant like creating enough contact to get enough separation from the shot blocker to get a clean shot off after the contact. :P

To make any grand conclusions from the first summer league game is ridiculous. Some of you ers need to give the front office some breathing room.

I like Hill, i think he has more jitters than anything. Ian looking better as the game goes on and Gist looks like he'll be a defensive beast in a couple of yrs. All in all its summer league and we'll find out more during preason.

Depends what "awesome" means. Awesome to me would mean Hill puts up Speedy numbers and Mahinmi is 90% as good as Nazr. I haven't seen too many realistic posters claiming All-Star game for these guys.
Plenty are calling Mahinmi a starter later in the year, calling him the savior. Freaking MB writes posts about how he's as good as any lottery pick. Hill is carrying expectations of being at least as good as CDR or Chalmers, not to mention Arthur and Donte Greene, who we could have had instead. People - almost everybody - has convinced themselves the Spurs have this monstrous steal of a draft pick in him, CIA Pop and all that nonsense. There are stratospheric high expectations for these two guys.

Spurs have had a lot of TOs because they don't know where their teammates are gonna be. That should be remedied.

I think he's actually 6'8, but he's very "Spur-like" in personality (Roger Powell is too.) Both very good guys. Tolliver's rep is that he's a little soft and backs away from contact. The Cavs really liked him in training camp last year and he was one of their last cuts.
Kinda weird. If he's stroking the three like that, he won't be anywhere near the inside to battle for contact anyway.

And I think it'd be easy for them to say 'keep shooting like you're shooting, but get your nose in there and knock someone's head off for the rebound or we'll cut you.'

I just like what I see out of him, especially as a Bonner replacement. He's looked the best tonight after Gist, Hill, and Ian.

One thing I do like about Mahinmi and Hill tonight is that their TO and Foul numbers aren't too high.
