So, if I kiss your ass, I won't finallt get my (well deserved I must say) Spur ?
why do you need a spur?
I'm not sure but I think the Spur is given to members who have been around a while. Like if you put your cursor over their user name, you'll see a number. Like thispego is 193 meaning, he was the 193rd member. But I only assume.
'Cause it looks cool
it sort of gives you some status and respect from the users as well... (i guess)
No it doesn't. Your posts do.
That makes sense.
Thanks![]()
All I see is such and such is an original member of Spurstalk.
What is this 193 business you speak of?
Let me dumb it down for you.
http://spurstalk.com/forums/member.php?u=954
^ That is your member profile. You see the 954? That means you were the 954th registered member at SpursTalk. When you put your cursor over a user name, look at the bottom of your browser, the web address of the link appears. Or just click the user name, and select view profile. Then look at your browser's address and it shows up there as well but the other way is quicker.
Put your mouse cursor over the poster's username. Look in the bottom left of your screen and you will see a string ending in ...php?u=xxxxx, where xxxxx is a number that appears to indicate when you joined.
For example, when I cursor over Brutalis, I get ...member.php?u=1554, meaning he was the 1554th user to join. I believe this is correct, but I could be wrong.
EDIT: Brutalis beat me to it.
Wow
I'm the 6896th registered member
i thought they were also awards for especial contributions (great posts/threads) and wining vbookie tournaments etc...
Put your curser over any spur or trophy (or sheep or snowflake or can of spam or beating heart) and it will tell you what it's for.
Original members of ST have spurs. Trophies are for fantasy championships and the like. There are other assorted things that Kori has done. It's fun to read what they're for.
Dont worry...it will never happen

This thread was bumped. Kori's post about the shirts was from 8-21-2006.
There were ST shirts, but I don't think they're still available.
