Terrible game.
Doesn't look like Hill can play PG in the NBA. He doesn't have exceptional ball handling skills nor does he seem to know how to run the offense. I mean, Morrison (is that the Sean Heal guy?) is doing a much better job!
I also have yet to see Hill blowing past his man. Where's the quickness?
He doesnt look smooth but you can see his talent. Needs to finish better, I mean dunk the ball for God sakes. Hes been hang'n out with Duncan to much. Someone needs to tell him its Ok to flush it!
1st Half Thoughts
Hill - Come on, even the biggest Spurs homer can see how bad he is playing. Shaky handle at times, and ABSOLUTELY no finishing ability at the rim. It is almost comical. This pick is absolutely gonna come back and bite the Spurs in the ass. Don't give me that summer league BULL . He looks terrible, just all around weak. Donte Greene was my guy and the Spurs ing blew it. BOTTOMLINE.
Ian - Looks OK. Not as fluid an athlete as he appears to be. Jumps well and quick but not overly agile.
Hairston - Got up for a nice nice dunk, and had a nice putback tipin. Nothing outstanding, do not see him on the Spurs roster.
Gist - My favorite player so far. Just brings it and knows what to do. Great potential as combo forward.
Watkins can't shoot farther than 6 feet, he played in the Philippines recently.
Can Mahinmi even jump? Is there any lift?
I'm surprised that he looks so earth bound. How in the world does a 6'11" guy miss a dunk?!

he doesn't look horrible , he made some nice moove and miss an easy dunk and can improve his defense
maybe people expect too much on him so for them he looks horrible as a futur spurs starter

Hill needs to try a shot from outside once in a while. Isn't that where he made his rep in college as a SG?

There's still another half. His death sentence isn't official yet.
It was a stupid pick. The Spurs heard the Lakers or some team was after him and they panicked and drafted a guy they could have had at 45 with their late first round pick. Unbelievable, considering there were two fat prospects widely considered lottery picks in Greene and Arthur just sitting there. If you don't want either of them, other teams will, and you have to turn them into something. I liked Hill as a player and person but that was a stupid-ass pick.
