haha Arenas is cold
http://my.nba.com/forum.jspa?forumID=400032200&start=0Richard Jefferson going to Milwaukee …. HAHAHA! Oh man, now that is funny. When I heard that, I started laughing. Oh man, did I start laughing. You know why? Because every player hates Milwaukee. Nobody wants to live in Milwaukee. I’m sorry, Milwaukee, to come down hard on you, but no one in the NBA wants to play in Milwaukee. From him going from New Jersey, actually from New York (because he lives in New York), from New York to Milwaukee is like going … let’s just say it’s not going to sit well with you. That was a funny one when I heard that one. I know Yi is happy though.
-Gilbert Arenas
Eeh, the flip side to that is if you foster a commitment to winning, you can weed out fair-weather guys who only care about money to come to a less hospitable climate and night life.
That is the theory at least.
But I hear where GA is coming from. It isn't a secret that the Midwest is not known for its nightlife, even if RJ makes the occasional trek to Chicago.
But if that team has a real plan that they plan to execute (as I am sure Hammond does) than I would imagine vets would be more willing to go there for the chance to make a splash in the Eastern Conference.
F that noise. Late-night trips to 24 hour walmarts, steak and shake, and IHOP are where it's ing at around here.
Where is Here?
I live in Metro Detroit. The city entire region goes to sleep at 9, except for a select few things downtown, on weekends, which go a little past midnight, if you are into that sort of thing...
I'd hate to go to Milwaukee too. Seriously, there's maybe 5 places I'd hate to play if I was in the NBA: Milwaukee, Oklahoma City, Charlotte, Minneapolis, and Memphis. Everywhere else would be freaking sweet.
Fox River Grove, IL, one of the NW suburbs of Chicago.
Hey Milwaukee, tell me how Gilbert's ass tastes.
What a big mouth this guy has. I hope he getss beaten by 20 every time he plays at Milwaukee. Besides, I don't know he talks that much when he can't get his team out of the first round, always losing to the CAVS. Hey Gilbert..do you still dream of those free throws you missed when lebron approached you at the line??...hahaha..that's what i call...C-H-O-K-I-N-G!!
add cleveland, detroit, indianapolis, salt lake city, and sacramento and then you'd be about right.
You don't live here.![]()
at your sig.
You play for the Spurs?![]()
If I were Gilbert I'd talk all the I'd want about any city. I just in made $111 million dollars.
juicy j is full of win
What does any of that have to do with the fact that you not living here makes SA a much better city to live in?
it'll be funny when RJ and the Bucks make the playoffs, while Gil gets injured and watches the Wizards play better without him again
What's so great about playing in Dallas?
Too funny.
You want to know what's so great about playing in Dallas?
Turtle Creek
that was pretty funny... RJ and him are close mates yea?
With no nightlife the boys can just practice i guess.
Bucks to break 40 wins?
