I know if the joker comes back, it will have to be a whole new actor, and that quite frankly sucks. Ledger did an amazing job with the character.

He did do an amazing job, but if they did another movie with the Joker, and nobody knew that it was a different actor than Heath ledger playing the Joker, and they did a good/similar job, nobody would be any the wiser. But because they know its a different actor, they will nitpick at every conceivable difference they can find. It is a very good character the way that Ledger portrayed him. It got better as it went on. I liked having him laugh as he fell to his presumed demise.

I saw Anthony Michael Hall in the credits but I didn't remember seeing him in the movie...

The memorial service was held not only to honor the good Dent, but also to hide his new iden y from everybody.

I think they put Dent in a secret prison, and he will escape in the next Batman

They said that he is the hero gotham needed, and they can't find out what he had done. If he was truly dead, they wouldn't have needed to say that. they said it because he was still alive. You don't create a villlian towards the end of a movie to kill him at the end. besides, after the commish and batman have the discussion, the montage of past and future events plays. the only thing you see concerning where they are after the fall is batman running away. we dont see anything regarding dent, and thats what batman and the commish wanted; for batman to distract gotham from dent and all the things he had done.

IMO, unfortunately for Nolan, Ledger died and took the joker with him. Ledger owns the character. Its just so spot on accurate that I can't imagine a better performance from anyone else.

I completely agree. This just messes everything up. Nolan can throw out any possibility of a Joker return EVER.

Steve Carell? Would have been godd for Burton's movies, but not for Nolan's.

I can see as the Riddler :

- The guy who played in American Beauty (the tough dad who shoots himself at the end, I always forget his name; amazing actor)

- Robin Williams

- Brad Pitt (don't laugh, he is an excellent actor)

Firstly, Pfeiffer was great as Catwoman and Selina Kyle.

Secondly, the Halle Berry film was an absolute abortion, but so far removed from the actual Catwoman character that I really don't even consider it to be a part of the Batman universe. It was its own horribly misguided thing.

Lastly, I disagree that having a female villain is less exciting. It changes the dynamic of a fight scene, so it obviously won't have the same physicality as a big ol' punch out, but can create much more tension in other areas of the plot. Furthermore, I think that a female villain (and of the options available, Catwoman is by far the best) would work perfectly in the new Batman franchise. Nolan's approach to the series, especially with The Dark Knight, is very much in tune with the film noir crime films of the 1940s, and everyone knows that noir needs a good femme fatale.

I was watching the latest Die Hard movie, at the behest of a friend and against my will, and there was this one scene where Bruce Willis has to fight this hot Asian chick (Maggie Q, I think).

Anyway, she's starts going all Kung-fu and what not on him and she basically kicks his ass. But, then he get's off the floor and says "enough with this Kung-fu bull " and he bull-rushes her and tackles her to the floor and starts beating the out of her.

He punches her face like 15 times and he leaves her lying on the ground.

Anyway, later on she just gets up and has no evidence of facial damage.

Ridiculous.

And, he also rams a truck up against her legs and a wall, but she can still walk and kick ass by some miracle of god.

Whatever.
