You've really devolved into self parody lately. Is it intentional?
The reason it didn't make national news is simple.
The attackers were either black, illegal, democrats, etc. Anything but a white conservative.
The victims were middleclass whites.

Makes for bad TV.
The Horn case also involves the novel application of a fairly unique law to a situation that immediately polarizes the public, creating that worthwhile discussion on several levels.
By comparison, I don't think anyone would argue that what the attackers did in the Minnesota case was laudable or should be an activity protected by law.
Okay, this must be the thread for tragic local stories that didn't go national.
Toledo man fatally shot while riding bike to work

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - Toledo Police say 46-year-old David Bab died this morning at St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center after he was shot in the head during an argument with an apparent stranger. It was the city's tenth murder this year.
The incident happened just before 6 a.m. in the city's south end on Western, near the Anthony Wayne Trail. His co-workers say Bab was on his way to work, that he'd wanted to start riding his bike to save money on gas.
Bab 's family and friends say they are too distraught to talk on camera and can't believe the man they loved -- a father and grandfather, engaged to be married -- is gone.
"He'd do anything for ya. Give you the shirt off his back. I just can't understand why someone would do this. It's horrible," said one of Bab 's longtime neighbors.
Bab had just gotten a new bike and had added flashing lights and radio speakers to it.
"He loved his bike, worked on it, worked on it and worked on it," the neighbor said.
Bab 's fiance said the bike was a source of pride to him.
"He was so proud of it and he couldn't wait to ride it to work. It was his first day of riding it to work so he could save money on gas," Bab 's fiance said.
Bab had planned to ride from his east Toledo home to Fresh Products in south Toledo where he'd worked for 26 years. Police say he was gunned down after an argument on Western, near the Trail.
"From what the witnesses said, it didn't sound like 'Give me your money' type of argument," said Toledo Police Captain Ray Carroll. "It was name-calling going back and forth. It got pretty heated, enough to wake some people up."
Police say the suspect -- a tall black man -- ran away after shooting Bab .
"I'm devastated for the family," said Theresa Morrow, who heard the shot. "I feel sorrow for them because this should not have happened. For an honest man to do an honest day's work and going to do that honest day's work gets gunned down. There's no reason."
Bab 's longtime neighbor said Bab had gone through difficult times.
"He had brain surgery done. We sat and watched him get through that and chemo. And he came back and made it through all of that and then this happens. And that's wrong. That's wrong."

Tragically, these senseless crimes are commonplace, a daily occurence, and only the most "spectacular" <---repulsive I know> make it to the level of National News.

Yeah, but the nine tases was from one cop. That shouldn't qualify as news. Now if it was three cops doing three tases each, nine cops doing one tase each or two cops doing four and a half tases each, that would be news.

Throw them all in jail for life. There is no way a conscionable human being would ever do something like this. It's appalling, and we should never let them walk the streets again.
I have very little mercy on those who gang up on people to inflict pain on the defenseless.
BTW, If you want to talk about horrible that doesn't make the news I can provide pages of it Darrin. Pages. I don't know why this is an even an argument. When's the last time you saw a missing brown woman get the same kind of coverage that Natalie Holloway did?
Yeah, the ing media hates white people. Poor ing white people are accused of everything bad under the sun while minorities get away with bloody ing murder in the news.
