The Spurs Dynasty has won at least 2/3 of their games every season but one, since Duncan arrived, that's 10 out of 11, including 8 in a row. They fell just short in 2000, winning 53 of 82.

(Duncan missed 6 home games and 2 road games, the Spurs were 4-2 in the home games, and 1-1 on the road games. The Spurs were 27-8 at home w/ Duncan, and 21-18 on the road w/ Duncan.)

If you call it a Duncan/Robinson Dynasty, then the Spurs have won 2/3 of their games 13 out of the last 15 years, and 15 of 19. This is bat awesome!

Only Russell's Celtics matched this feat:

    Russell's Celtics went 10 in a row

Other "Dynasties" that dare challenge the Mighty Spurs:

    Magic's Lakers went 10 of 12, including 7 in a row

    Bird's Celtics went 9 in a row

    Jordan/Pippen's Bulls went 8 of 9, including 5 in a row

    Shaq/Kobe's Lakers went 6 of 8, including 3 in a row

The Spurs are indeed one of the greatest NBA dynasties of all times!!!

Sorry to strike you down but... the sky is not blue. It only looks blue to our eyes because a bunch of reasons I don't want to get in to.

And, humans do not breath air. We breath oxygen.

Seeing as how I am a SPURS fan, I also know that Gregg Popovich's winning pct. ranks 3rd in NBA history (roughly .667). It would be higher in the Tim Duncan era. Coincidence?

Actually, we do breath air, which is comprised of 21% oxygen.

Breathing pure oxygen for prolonged periods of time can be dangerous to an individual's health.

OK, I just checked the stats.

The Spurs are the only team in history to win 2/3 of their games in 13 of 15 years. They are also the only team to win 2/3 in 15 of 19 years.

If you want to make it a round 20 years, the Spurs have won 2/3 of their games in 15 of the last 20 years. That has never been done either. And the Spurs streak is still current, they can add to it this season. The Spurs could make it 14 of 16 and an INCREDIBLE 16 of 20!

The best for the Celtics is:

    11 of 15 years (Spurs 13)
    14 of 19 years (Spurs 15)
    14 of 20 years (Spurs 15 or 16)

The best for the Lakers is:

    10 of 15 years (Spurs 13)
    14 of 19 years (Spurs 15)
    14 of 20 years (Spurs 15 or 16)

This seals it. The Spurs are the greatest dynasty of interchangable parts in NBA HISTOREEE!!!

To sum it all up, the Spurs have had one down year since 1989. Pretty sweet deal I'd say.

Brutalis tries to act educated, but really he is just a pessimistic smart ass.

Here's where you can get the stats from:

    San Antonio Spurs
    http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/SAS/

    Boston Celtics
    http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/BOS/

    Los Angeles Lakers
    http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/LAL/

    Team Index
    http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/

There's lots of other good stats here.

For example, the Spurs franchise has won 16 division les, only the Celtics and Lakers have more, and the Spurs are a new franchise. If you only count NBA, the Spurs still have 16 division les.

The Spurs franchise has 36 playoff years, beaten only by the Celtics (46), Lakers (55), Philly (44), Detroit (38), Knicks (38), and the Atlanta Hawks franchise (37), and all these other franchises go back to at least 1950.

For current NBA franchises in the same city, the Spurs have 28 NBA playoff appearances.

Only beaten by Boston (46), Lakers (44), Knicks (35 - not counting 3 in the BAA before 1950), Detroit (31), and Philly (30).

Phoenix is tied at 28, but they came into the NBA in 1969, the Spurs in 1977.

The Bulls came in in 1967, 10 years before the Spurs, and they only have 27 playoff appearances.

    SPURS RULE!

    more goodies:

The Spurs are one of only three teams to be more than 500 games above .500.

The NBA Spurs have a better W/L% than the Celtics, and only trail the Lakers.
