Thanks that looks great someone else said Jim's??
That someone else is an idiot then.
Don't forget the Spurs museum.
Is that next to the Taco Cabana?
That's in West San Antonio, right?![]()
Second that. Even though it's owned by the Mexicans now.
And what's the deal with the other Bob's Smokehouses on Fredericksburg Road and on Seguin Road? Are they any relation to the original on Rigsby?
Head to Rolando Taco's for breakfast while you're down there on the South Side. Order three carne guisada for you and two for your wife. You'll thank me later.
Enjoy the scenery on the south side too. It's a beautiful area.
You should definately pick up a fruit cup being sold by one of the high class south side street vendors for dessert after your bbq.
That sounds safe.![]()
+1
You might also want to check out Tom's Ribs.
Rudy's creamed corn is very good. Their BBQ sauce is good too.
Thanks keep them coming what about things to do? Yes I have kids too.
Fiesta Texas
Sea World
Schlitterbaun is about 30 minutes away
All are great places to go. If you and your family are up to it, I'd reccomend Schlitterbahn. It's about 30-45 mins North of the Loop 1604 and I35 interchange. Get there early and you'll find rides/stuff to do there for the entire day, I guarantee. Oh and it's been voted the #1 water park in the country several years running now if I'm not mistaken.
Riverwalk is a must see, though I can't reccomend any specific places since I rarely go down there (not 21 yet).
Best BBQ is Rudy's in my opinion. Their cream corn is GREAT. If I think of anything else I'll post.
You guys remember the Spurs museum? I am glad one of my suggestions stuck. I think it is awesome and not just historic.
I agree with the creamed corn
Do NOT drink the water!
Unless you want super powers!!!!!
While the Spurs ain't playing, you'll have to visit that other place where war has taken place.
LMAO that no one thought to mention that yet.
IF you are looking to do the tourist thing...
Well the Alamo, but that is over-rated truthfully. Not the history but the actual building.
You should probably go eat at the Tower of the Americas...the food sucks but it's still pretty cool to go up there.
Detroit probably has a great Zoo but the San Antonio Zoo used to be reknown for it's barless cages...I'm not sure how unique that is anymore though. It's always neat to go there.
Gotta do SeaWorld.
Gotta do the RiverWalk...
People will tell you you need to eat at Mi Tierras but I personally think their food sucks ass.
I think telling people to go and eat there is a joke Mexicans in SA like to play on white people or something...because that ...well let's just say you are better off going and buying some frozen Mexican Food in HEB and some Pace Picante Sauce or something.
If someone tells you you need to go and eat there, it's means they hate you...remember that.
