HAHA only in the West do the rankings DONT matter HAHA.....
This past season werent the teams all separated by like .5 a game or sumthin????
In the Playoffs in the West, there are no such things as upsets.....everyone can beat everyone
I see suns and dallas declining. Shaq's fat ass will be in a suit before December.
1. Lakers
2. Hornets
3. Jazz
4. Spurs
5. Rockets
6. Mavs
7. Warriors
8. Blazers/Suns
all that matters is Spurs will get either 3rd or 4th place in the west
1. Rockets
2. Hornets
3. Lakers
4. Jazz
5. Spurs
6. Suns
7. Blazers
8. Mavs
Bull Sh**!
The Spurs will have growing pains in the beginning of the season but mark my words come March they will start getting their act together and begin to cause fear around the league. Pop and staff know when to push this team. You will be surprised suckas.
San Antonio
Lakers
Portland
Utah
New Orleans
Houston
Phoenix
Dallas
Wow, you really think this current Spurs team as it stands can be the #1 seed?
Lakers
Hornets
Rockets
Utah
Spurs
Pheonix
Portland
Dallas
If every team got better every year, everything would be the same every year, and the same teams would make the playoffs in the same order etc. etc.
Not every team gets better, and rarely do things go as expected. That meltdown in Chicago? Chicago even getting into the playoffs 3 seasons ago? The Pistons, of all teams, becoming EC power after the Teal era? San Anton being above average, falling for a year, and coming back to win 4 of the last 9 championships. New Orleans. Miami (pre Shaq).
There are so many examples of seemingly random things happening, and certain improvements never materializing.
The Spurs' stability works well for them. Even acquiring Kurt was a big improvement, only hampered by how he was used.
I do. I don't think it's likely but it is possible. It's not going to be likely because I believe that the Spurs won't push hard enough to get the number one seed. We went to the conference finals last year with a hurt Manu. You really don't think a healthy Manu + Roger Mason + Mahnimi + Rookies + second year for Udoka and Thomas > our previous supporting cast? Tell me how that's not better than the guys we got rid of With the Rockets trade, I believe that there are now 4 true championship contenders in the West, Rockets, Spurs, Lakers and Hornets. However the Rockets have the most that can go wrong, with Mcgrady, Yao and Artest.
I would put
1. Lakers
2. Spurs
3. Hornets
4. Jazz
5. Rockets
6. Suns
7. Mavericks
8. Trail Blazers
Lakers
Hornets
Spurs
Jazz
Rockets
Mavs
Suns
Blazers
Any of the first 3 could be WC champs...depending on the playoff matchups.
Adios to Denver and Golden St.
First time I don't see the a lot of posts with the Spurs @ #1....
hahahaha thats true agree with u on that one and the standings 2 pretty acurate
1. Lakers
2. Hornets
3. Rockets
4. Blazers
5. Spurs
6. Jazz
7. Suns
8. Mavs

Thats what was said last year and not one upset.
Even with Posey I dont see NO getting the #1 seed i think Jazz and Lakers have edge there because they have weaker divisons ...especially Utah ...
I think ...
1. Utah
2. Lakers
3. houston
4. Hornets
5. Spurs
6. Mavs
7. Suns (wow cant believe im typing this)
8. Blazers
And my rankings have no meaning on who is better I think Lakers hornets and Spurs still the 3 best like last year but record wise I think it shakes down like that ...and Utah's 4 extra gmes against Twolves, Grizz and Nuggs should give them #1 seed IMHO
you're nuts if you think the nets will even sniff the playoffs, raptors or the heat will have a better record
1. Los Angeles
2. New Orleans
3. Utah
4. Houston
5. San Antonio
6. Phoenix
7. Dallas
8. Portland
But its all meaningless in the long run. I may be giving Portland too much credit but I don't see Denver/Golden State as legitimate contenders for the 8th spot.
I do not think we'll finish at the top of Western Conference Finals. However it depends on how quickly the rookies mature and how healthy we remain. But when all said and done I do honestly believe come playoff time we are going to tear up teams. Believe..... Spurs Fans..... Believe!!!!!!!!
